You're right hotsauce. Steens are hard to find. It frustrates me. My manager brings in Forsbergs, PM9's, Federovs, Tkachuks, etc, but not one Steen. Only Ovechkins, Thorntons and Recchi's I asked him if he knew which CCM curve was a Forsberg clone and he did not know. I think if CCM threw a bigger name on the curve, like say Koivu, then more stores would stock them and more people would buy them.

To answer your question though, the closest would probably be the Recchi, however is is quite different, somewhat like an Iginla. I would choose between that or the Ovechkin, which is more like a Drury, but not as open.

Can anyone shed some light on the flex of the U+ stick? I'm thinking about trying one but can't decide between the stiff or reg. flex. As a comparison, I've always used stiff (100) in Eastons, but could probably go very slightly whippier if I had to. The MSH flex chart says that a stiff CCM is like a 105 Easton and a regular is like a 95 Easton. I'm wondering if this new design and longer taper zone will make loading the stick easier even though it is actually stiffer. Thoughts or experiences?

My buddy used the stick for about 1 week.

The whole in the blade cracked ,and the blade broke.

I personally did not think it was a very good stick.

Sorry SRI to butcher your english like that.I am trying my best not to get it all wrong.

For the flex question i have a 100 flex and find it a lot stiffer then my 100 flex on other compagny stick so i would go to a 85 for sure.

And dont forget the U+ is designed to be made without the hole in the stick. So you can t judge by the one we try (demo or 1 st run)

Is the mid flex on this stick similar to a NBH 77 flex? Is the shaft thinner because it is considered an intermediate?

I heard that this stick is very similar to the Vapor XXX. Do any of you who have this think that it is a accurate comparison

I've had both the Regular and Stiff Flex U+'s. They dont feel that different off the ice but when your shooting theres a pretty big difference. I like the Regular alot more for snap shots and feel and the Stiff for slapshots. the Regular lasted me like a month and a couple days then broke in the shaft right before the blade. But when it comes time to buy a new one I'm gonna go with the Regular.
