that's probably one of the most badass things i've seen! how long did that take you?

Probably about 7 months since I did it from scratch, and experimented alot. If I were to do it over again, probably 4-5 weeks.

Simply incredible! Awesome job!

Did you get a stock table hockey game and customize it?

I actually had 2 old Halex games that I based it on ... well at least the guts of it anyway (the original table serves as the base underneath the bigger upper level)

Your work is very impressive. I assume you have extensive experience in scale modeling?

none at all... this is the first time I have tried something like this. I learned a lot though before hand, while building and taking apart my old games.

That thing is incredible. Sick looking figurines

McFarlane to the rescue!

Here are a few YouTube videos of my custom table hockey that is nearing completion.

That is ridonkulous in its craftmanship. Ever plan on taking requests?

I am actually in the middle of creating a step by step build it yourself type guide. (have had many people interested in this)

That is absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful job you have done.

I especially appreciate the entire gameroom, because it's a sign of a kid at heart. The way I look at it is spending time down there seems like it would be a lot more enjoyable than running the vacuum....

Your goalies obviously block a lot of low shots, so I'm curious whether you'd ultimately like to modify their bases or whether you find the other players shoot harder and higher than the normal bubble players.

Actually, since the video was made I did modify the goalie paddles a bit by making a ramp where the 5-hole is, so lower to ice shots have a better chance of becoming a goal :)

Wow absolutely amazing. When you say McFarlane to the rescue, do you mean that's what you based the players on, or you used the McFarlane figurines for the actual game. I'm also trying to get a feel for the size of the thing. Possible to get a side angle picture to get the scoreboard and everything in one picture?

Yes they are the 6" McFarlane players :)

Here is the best images I have to show scale... The second one is actually an under construction type pic, as it wasn't completely done at this stage (some lines missing)
