NBH Sizing

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

Short and urgent question

It is true that difference between XXX size and One90 - half of size?

For example, if I wear XXX 9D is this mean I have to buy One90\95 with 9.5 size?

Or these all skates have similar sizes?

What size should I choose for One90\95, if I wear XXX 9D?

Thanks

Generally you drop a half size from the Vapor line to the Supreme line.

I.E.: Vapor 9D= Supreme 8.5D

Sometimes you might need to drop a whole size, but thats more rare.

Not with the new Vapors though as people were dropping .5 size moving from xxx to xxxx. I know people that switched from XXXX's to One95s and took the same size in both skates.

I assume that is because the newer Vapor line has more volume.. I'm a 9D in the Vapor XXV/XXXX as well as in the One75 and One55 (which I bought)

Is it you need to drop a half size from the Vapor line to the Supreme line?

Yes.

But the hockey guy told me vapor and supreme same sizing. Now I am confusing what sizing should i get.

Is one75 stiffness than XXXX? My XXXX that material tear apart.

I am considered XVI jr skates.

this maybe the case for some people ( to drop a 1/2 size ) maybe because the Supremes are wider than the Vapor line. Personally I have got the same size ( 11.5 D ) in both my XXV's and One95's and I measured the inside length with a caliper and they both measure 11 6/16". That being said now that my One95's are breaking in more the thought has crossed my mind ( about 1/2 size smaller ) - but you know I have "been there and done that" and sometimes smaller skates cause different set of problems....So its a toss up. Right now I have no fit issues, but lets wait a few more months....Try them on and if your "smallest foot" has about a finger width ( 1/2 cm ) in the back when you push your toes forward this should work for you....

If you have to go somewhere with the sizing, it is down. Maybe you feel better with the same size though. I wear a half size smaller in supreme´s but my brother has the same size in both.

I can assure you that the Vapor XXXX and the ONE95 are idential in length.

Yes thats a confirmation that 11.5 D in both XXV and One95's measures 11 6/16" on my caliper for inside toe to heal measurment. That being said the One95 has more room in the toebox and a little wider in overall fit in the forefoot, but narrow in the ankle area. We have to remember One95 comes from the history of the old Bauer 8090 last with a bit of a tweek on this line. Its deeper than the Vapor.

I heard somebody put its this way, "...some people go 1/2 size down some people don't... whats a mother to do?..."

Its all personal prefernce and trying them on and learning from mistakes in fit.

I'm certainly happy taking your word on the fact that the two skates are identical in length. What would you say is the main reason many people seem to go down a 1/2 size from XXXX to One95? Deeper heel, more volume, wrong fit in one of the skates, psychological? Thanks.

VERY FEW people go down .5 size from XXXX or XXVs to One95s. These are NEW vapors. People DO go down half a size from xxx's to One95s or the NEW vapor series because of the ergonomic toe cap on the new nike bauer skates. Does anyone know how to read these days?

To summarize: (purely in terms of measured length as everyone's foot is different and may not conform to these "rules of thumb"

XXX - .5 = One95/One75/XXV/XXXX

XXXX/XXV = One95/One75

Thanks, but I read quite well actually. Many members have specifically stated that they wore different sizes in XXXXs and One95s, not old vapors and One95s. I fully understand the toe cap issue, and realize the skates are the same length, that's why I asked my question, not because I can't read.

From what I've read, most people have stayed the same size in the new Vapor XXXXs and Supreme 95s as opposed to the the older Vapors which are different than the XXXXs..

Hey IceAngel if you look at the below thread right above "DarkStars" famous "whats a mother to do" comment - IceAngle said "I am waiting on ONE95 skates to arrive!"

Post was at ( *edit May 18 ) at 1:45, in fact you already ordered them and are looking foward to them. What happened? Did not UPS deliver?

P.S. DarkStars comment was in reference to a question about sizing difference of XXXX and One95's.....

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...amp;entry578597

what about one55 or one75? i not getting one95. they all supposed to have same length right?
