Have any of you guys tried Mcdonald's Homestyle southern chicken?

We have a chain here in winnipeg calls Salisbury house, not exactly fast food but its a quick sit down place. Open 24 hours so its the most amzing thing after the bar, plus the sals sauce is to die for. I'm sure another pegger can chime in on it.

In a conversation containing CFA, Bojangles, and other quality establishments how in the world did Sonic get into the mix? Not even in the same ballpark. :(

And to set it straight......CFA was founded by a die hard christian, and like a lot of establishments south of the Mason Dixon or in the heart of the "bible belt"......the corporate stand on business is to NOT be open on Sunday's.

And that's really screwed up when they're one of four options at an airport food court. Then again, I really don't care for CFA.

Speaking of wishing for regional chains to expand locations, I have been patiently waiting for Sonic to come to Connecticut since they started running commercials here at least 3 years ago. Those from the west or south; is Sonic really as good as it looks?

Couldn't tell you. I've been seeing Sonic commercials for at least three years too, and I've yet to even see a Sonic.

Closest one to Eugene is in Salem. Closest one around Portland is in Vancouver or Hillsboro. But yeah, with as much advertising as they put on around the area here you'd think they'd be as prevalent as Wendys.

Kennedy Fried Chicken is where its at.

HAHAHAHA the one in Hempstead is on the block where my aunt used to live. I remember when the building used to be a Blimpie. Last time I was in Hempstead I hit that up.

OHHH SNAP...
the southern style chicken is a good attempt at knocking off Chick-fil-a sandwich, right down to the pickles, but I'll take chick fil a over Mickey-D's any day of the week and twice on sunday

sorry closed on Sundays. U couldn't even take it once on Sunday LOL

Damn, I got served...

The name and the fact that all stores have bulletproof glass only makes it better.

Cant beat the Wings N Things 5 wings and a biscuit for $2.95 lunch special, though. Pair that with Slurpee or Big Gulp from 7-11 next door, and you're eating like a king for under $5

I'll still take Popeyes over KFC. Not so much for the chicken, but for the red beans and rice and mashed potatoes. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it.

Blame theWB... he brought Sonic, I was just warning everyone. The CFA in Massachusetts (a mall location) is closed every Sunday... I'm just going on what my friend said about them being open.... then again, he's done a lot of drugs in his hey-day.

Woah, blame should not be thown around. I didn't say Sonic was up with CFA or Bojangles. I've never even had sonic(or CFA or Bojangles for that matter. Not my fault, none of the above mentioned establishments are within two hours of my house) Just wanted to hear from some people who have access to it, if its actually good. The commercials have really gotten the best of me.

In all honesty.....Sonic only has a couple of things going for them......their drinks. They have their slushes, limeades, Sonic Freeze, etc etc. It is a great drink stop, especially post-game......but there is nothing special about any of their food.

Add some fried plantains from my boy's Chinese joint across the street. The owners are my aunt and uncle's next door neighbor on Nassau Pl.

No ill-will... I just meant the plain mention of Sonic due to my violently ill experience. It's all good...

Sonic is awful. Overpriced, terrible food. The drinks they have are really good though. What we really need is a White Castle or Chipotle in CT. It sucks having to take the train to NYC just to get them.

It was funny, people in MI were all about Sonic because of the commercials (and the lack of Sonics in MI). Kept on telling them that Coney Island food was better than Sonic. Man, I do miss National Coney Island right about now.

OK, I finally tried it (the McDonalds Homestyle southern chicken), and it looked like a 580 sandwich (from McDonalds France). And it didn't taste that good compared to Chubby Chicken etc.
