SLM Holders

What is the opinion of the old SLM holders, I have not used them in years, but I am just curious about opinions on these.

hey denis, I belive your opinion that the ICMs are better is a fogbound progtuberance which I will not opine in. (Actually, I agree, but, tblades are the most goodest!).

From my limited experience with SLMs, I've only ever seen them on lower end skates. The steel was non-stainless and thus rusted very easily. It's possible the steel/holders on those Tacks shown are a higher end model that I've never seen before.

If I remember correctly the were a few different models of SLM holders. Can't generalize and say that ICM's are better they are pretty much the same thing. One was Bauer's(ICM) version and the other was CCM's(SLM).

SL- 1000 (cheap carbon with chrome dip)

SL- 2000 or 2500 (cheap carbon with a high polish)

SL- 5000 ( Stainless steel)

SL- 6000 ( Stainless steel with high polish - usually found on high end size 5's and 6's)

Maybe someone else can correct me if I made a mistake.

SLMs were in fact better because the 5000/6000 were stainless.

Yes, it looks like he does have an SLM or something similar on 03Easton Z-Airs.
