ya that's what I was thinking too. Also it is 7 in everyone's region so no need to flip to it at 7 eastern. And Theo I'm pretty sure that Tape Recorder is 2 words?

Couldn't tell you about the book relationtion. All I know is it's a show on the development of hockey sticks and then shows the attachments some players have to their stick.(that's the description on digital cable's info). It's an hour long to so it should be good :)

I watched most of it from about 6:20 on (I caught it in the East Coast CBC)..it was pretty cool.

For those who haven't watched it yet...

**Ending Spoiler**

It ends with Bret Hull saying how dead the wood stick is and how he can't see why anyone would use one...and Markus Naslund saying he sees people going back to wood because it gives better feel...kinda funny

I also didn't know that Brian Burke had ordered the AHL Manitoba Moose (Vancouver's farm team) to use wood exclusively to save some $$...

It was a pretty good show. It didnt look like it took much to break that Vector in that gizmo they were testing the flex with. It was also cool to see how the sticks were somewhat made. Wood blades are huge when just starting out.

It's pretty stupid, your a AHL player level and you can't play with the stick you want.

They did the same in Cincinnati with the Mighty Ducks AHL farm team, they saved alot of money because of that. I don't think it's THAT stupidit's not the stick that makes the player look good, skate hard and have heart.

I knew of an OHL team who had practice sticks they had to use because they saved there OPS for a games, also alot of teams switched over to Synthesis.

Whether Burkie ordered the Moose players to use wood sticks or not, throughout last season, at least 95% of the players were using an OPS or a blade/shaft combo.

Burke went overboard. Last season the Moose players were not allow to use OPS. Blade and Shafts were allowed. He was making a statement with his comments in typical Brian Burke fashion.

When you say blade, is it wood blade or composite blade?

I imagine both.
