Cavs019 710 Report post Posted September 4, 2004 If any of you guys play the PC version you will probably be able to add players through an editor. Us console users are out of luck, unless ea devotes themselves to a quality roster updating system.

Kobe 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2004 It's not public information yet so the track list cannot be revealed. You might be able to find a partial list somewhere on the net.

Next Sakic 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2004 this might be a dumb question but would the PC version be better than the gamecube version, or the PS2 version?
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted September 4, 2004 approximately 1000 times better, contingent on whether or not your PC can handle it.

43%burnt 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 pc version question: since there isn't going to be a create a player feature, is ea going to post updated rosters more often? or will be a matter of using a roster editor like nhl view? and is there a world cup tournament kind of thing in it?
Kobe 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 World Cup mode is in the game. I don't know about the roster thing though. A couple of the hardcore online gamers who went to the Community Summit kept asking about that so the producers might do something about it.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 im going to assume that if you cant add players to the db, you could just edit one of the players on the "nhl hidden" list.

Thockey17 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 people still use 56modems???In all seriousness, its probably going to be very laggy. I doubt anyone can ever make a highspeed 56k server...
Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I may have to buy EA, I'm getting fed up with the funky faceoff locations on ESPN 2005.
kasparaitis 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 gotit for pc.... awesome game! but does anyone no how to set practices in dynstey mode? On the right, below the practice schedule you will see something like "set practice schedule" It might not be those exact words, but you can click this and it should set your practice to what you want. The area has a >>> where you click.Hope that helps.
Vapor#42 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Hey guys, just bought a copy of NHL 2005 for PC and the only Cameo is of Naslund skating up to camera and taking a lil snap shot then looking down at the camera, then says "Ea sports, its in the Game" is this supposed to happen every time ? and also, 2 other things, i hate the faces of the players in 2005, there mouths are like all weird when they speak, also, 2005 doesn't have a the same realistic/fluid skating feature, this is so annoying !!! sundinleafs137 13 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 theres still no way to check up on injuries, I hate the whole motivation (+ or -) thing. The gameplay is better than 2004 but its still impossible to score. I lost to pittsburg 3-0 and i outshot them 62-12. (I was the leafs) It just makes me want to play less and less cuz I know that during some point of the game some b.s. AI will happen and there gonna score some crappy goals near the end of the game for no reason. Oh well...back to 2003
Eman24dx 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Paul you talking about for PC? Because for PS2 It's not impossible to score at any level. Another good thing bout 05 is theres no "automatic goal" or at least I didnt find one yet. I know you hate how the AI lets them come back but I havnt seen that yet eaither. As far as injuries on PS2 you get the injury report in your email.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Is this game semi-relevant to skill level? Can Tie Domi come in on a break-away and have as much of a chance as Kovalchuk? That's always been my main beef, and with the "gimme goal" is in place its always like that, but I'm wondering if there's the opposite now where there is no gimme goal, but the most talented players won't have any advantage scoring goals. Oh well...back to 2003 Injury types and lengths can be seen in the Team Injury Summary email, the League Injury Summary email, and the Injuries tab of the Team Information screen. I think that's more than enough places to check up on injuries. As for the goal scoring goes, there are no guaranteed goals anymore. EA made sure of that because there were complaints of the game being too easy. Scoring goals takes much more skill. Rebounds, screening, and tips should make up a large part of your scoring output as in real life hockey. Your superstar players will still be able to rip wristers in and have a better chance at scoring on breakaway opportunities because of their deking and shooting abilities. RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I often question the system "requirements"...NHL 2004 says minimum P3 700/128M/32 bit video/soundI've only got a P3 550, but I've got 384 Meg Ram, with 32 bit video & a 16 bit Sound Blaster...the game runs fine and I'm not even running toned down graphics or sound...If you are close to "requirements" you should be fine. You can download all the other cameos from the NHL 2005 website. I think they were all shot at the All-star game or during the Cup Finals.
