What are these skates?

Recommended Posts

I saw these skates today while putting a blade into a shaft at SportsWorldUSA today. There were about 10-11 pairs of these laying on the floor waiting to be sharpened..It seems to be a Mission NINE or something along those lines. They seem rather popular with the local HS team

Depends on whether they fit.

Well..either way..a pretty sharp looking skate and seems to be popular with the younger players. So there will be no more Mission lasts out there?

If the boot is great why wouldn't they just use it for the roller end of things with some mods?

for some reason i think i heard that the roller and ice departments were completely separate

And the inline department was the one making good product.

I have a pair of these skates. Got them from a friend of mine who works in a pro shop. Fantastic feeling boot. Very responsive and light. I am thinking about mounting a pair of Sprung chassis on them, since I play inline more than ice.

So I had some wicked hot spots with mine. Baking didnt seem to fix.

Broke out the heat gun and OOOOO my Im in love. They look a little funky now with bumbs and added curves but I guess I got funky feet which is why I have had some many issues finding a comfortable skate.

I saw a guy on Denver University wearing those skates they look really sick in person

Saw them on a couple guys on DU when we played them back in November. The guy who I remember for a fact wearing them was Rhakshani who has been wearing/sponsored by mission forever. They look sort of weird because of the fade. I thought the skates were beat up, but then, closer up, they look new. Not my style, though.

Yes. And those are the NMEs.

Darn nice skates if you ask me... I would have loved a pair.

Same here.. I was really looking forward to checking them out after seeing the early photos of them.... then the damn buyout happened. Ah well... maybe we'll get lucky and see it on an inline frame? If I can't find a reasonable fit after my AGX maybe I'll have to buy inline boots.. haha

My store here has a lot of AGXs...

I'm going to hit up the Mission rep to see if he can grab me the last few pairs that are hopefully remaining in stock!

I saw about 2-3 pair in the Colorado College locker room yesterday afternoon in Mariucci Arena. I had no idea so many kids used them
