Pants

Recommended Posts

Hey, I currently have those awful Nike Quest Pants, and I really don't like em. Doesn't help that there ripped but anyways.

What are some pants which are longer and more bulkier looking, The Nike Pants seem to be more Form fitting, and I don't like that. I heard Tacklas are pretty good.

Tacklas are a fantastic pant. The problem with finding longer pants are that they are a custom order, and take time and the right person to get them to you. If you are OK with black for short term, go to:

They are not cheap, but they are the best pants out there in long sizing you will find.

Not to thread jack, but is that the newest model "9000" or is it called the "9000 ACS" I'm about to order a pair myself and not sure which 9000 I should be looking for.

Depends on where you get it. US and Canadian versions differ slightly.

The US version is the 9000 Air...made in Indonesia I believe. The 9000 ACS is not available in the states and is made in Canada. The ACS is TONS better than the crap they make in Asia. I have had both, and they are like night and day.

I have had the 9000 airs for 7 or 8 years now. They have some board burns and a few nicks/ cuts, but they have held together remarkably well. Good protection, but I am looking for something now with more hip protection. I have a feeling that the 9000 airs would be more than enough protection for most players.

I'm in Canada as well and I own the 5000 Airs. No complaints from this guy. One of the best pair and best fitting hockey pants I've ever owned. The protection is top grade pro protection and the mobiltiy is second to none. Use them for serious hockey. Use my Easton S-7's for pickup or messing about. The only thing I've found close to the Tacklas for mobilty is the Graf 700's but not as protective.

Ya know I was able to pick up a pair of Easton pro stock pants for my fat butt (size 56). They are pretty protective on the hip padding and the leg/thigh padding. Funny thing was, at my Play It Again Sports, they were the same price as the Itech Hp6600 and the Mission Fuel 110 (about 100 bucks)
