Custom blades

A little while ago, Hockey Giant was selling pro stock blade packages. You were not given the choice to pick the pattens you got. I picked one of these packages up and as it turns out, I got three blades that were exactly the same. I have fallen in love with this pattern and would like to have one duplicated.

Which company would you recommend for custom blades?

How would I go about ordering these blades?

What is the avg. min. order?

Sherwood definitely does custom wood blades. I believe the min order is 12. Call your local hockey shop.

i have the sop 950 woodies. costed me 28.5 per blade cdn after negotiations. great blades with consistency

TPS offers the best custom blades. Minimum order of 12. Christian/Harrow also offer customs.

I just sent out the package with my order and sample to christian today....I emailed them a couple weeks ago to ask them about options and curves they could do and Chad with the Custom program emailed be back fairly quick and was very helpful....it didn't really say there was a min. but I order 6 to test out at $35.71 a piece with the $20 pattern set up fee.....Alot of coin to shell out at one time but worth it to get a completely custom blade(if you're a wood user)

$35.71 for a WOOD blade? Custom or not, that IS a lot of dough to kick out for a woodie. Those things get soft so quick.

Go Sherwood or TPS if you're going the custom wood blade route. Christian might be better in terms of timeframe now that they aren't associated with Harrow but they are still overpriced. Never done TPS for a customer but many MSHers have had success with them.

Yea, they don't last as long as composite but with the extra wrap options they are more durable, compared to Vapor 40's ive been using at $30 a pop and blowin through in about two weeks whats $5 more a blade with all the options I want

Drewhunz had custom TPSs made up for his buddy. A 12 pack I believe. He said his friend was very impressed with them.

Do I have to send in a blade for them to clone? Or can I tell them the details of what I want?

Pretty sure you can just give them specs... I know Christian/Harrow had a order form where you checked what you wanted. Whatever the case may be, it's certainly easier in getting exactly what you want if you send them a blade to clone.

any idea if the TPS customs are any more durable than the retail ones? I'd like to get the prostocks i obtained recently remade, but im not too thrilled about the either TPS or Christian.

im currently using warrior prostock dolo blades (the biggest open-toe'd mid curve known to man, just if you're interested) which are no doubt illegal but they are great for getting serious height infront of the net/launching pucks into the stands.. haha.

Im wondering if anyone knows if warrior would be able to remake me these blades, if so what would the minimum order be? I'd presume they have the spec's on record since they've already made them before.

havnt got anywhere to host it, if you pm me your email i'll send you a photo.

the general consensus is that the blade will be destroyed in the cloning process, you are however able to send a broken blade to be cloned, i believe.

Actually for with Christian I didn't have to send in a blade because I didn't have one.....I made a template out of cardboard for blade shape and then attached a picture of the curve I want and exact detailed description

Balistik does it (comp) i was told 350$ for mold then 75$ a blade (cnd)
