By reading some of the opinions in here and guessing users ages by their language, I'd have to say that Smyth's style is not a multi generational thing. It seems like the older users here, which were around when Gretzky was still young, appreciate Smyth's style or at the very least understand it (blue blades, long cuffs, flopped tongue, etc), while the younger users just don't get it at all.

I personally love Smyth's style, it's nice to see someone keeping that look alive rather than being another sheep in the herd :D
