Eagle Fusion or NikeBauer One90

my gloves are finally seen the end of their days and the wife gave me permission to get new ones. I was at my LHS today browsing the gloves while getting some bday gifts for my bro-in-law. i tried on the One90's and i liked the way they felt but have that robot look. i then went around to the "sale" area and there was a pair of Eagle Fusion gloves. So i tried them on and they felt very nice as well. it's the only pair of gloves on the sale rack for a price of $90.

Imagine my suprise when i checked online and saw that they are half price. I've been out of hockey for a bunch of years and recently got back into it. I've never heard of Eagle before and I am torn on which way to go. what would you guys choose if you were in my situation? any advice/help/tips are greatly appreciated. (also they are navy in color, just what i'm looking for :P)

If you like the eagle gloves I would go with them. I've never worn the fusion gloves but I own two pairs of PPF's and they are the best gloves I have ever worn.

They sure do look pretty sweet, much better than the One90's looked. Can't say anything about fit/feel but am looking forward to checking them out.

In my opinion, the one95 glove is the worst glove released by Bauer in a long time. It feels similar to the RBK 9K Knit, which was a piece of crap.

I feared what TBL was saying I think I am going to hate the new palms which is sort of depressing because the rest of the glove looks awesome, now back to the OP's question.

I hate the looks of the one90 as well but let's think of why hockey equipment was made, to protect you and help you perform to the best of your abilities so if you think one glove fits better then the other it shouldn't matter how it looks. just my 2 cents.

The palm and the index finger are the biggest issues I have with the glove.

i did like the snug fit and the stretchy feel of the one90's. i also liked the classic feel of the Eagles. (comparing to my old gloves). hehe. the gloves i have now are a bit too big, i've just dealt with it for years :P

what are some of the gloves you guys wear? i'll be heading back there in a week or two when my new socks come in and to have my skate punched. i'll check to see if they have any other gloves you guys would recommend. my LHS doesn't have a huge selection and i'm not keen on buying a pair of gloves i haven't tried on.

I wear 4 rolls from nikebauer but they are too long in the fingers for me and they are the first gloves I have ever torn a hole in the palm in. But if it fits you I could see it being an awesome gove.

I had a pair of supreme 70's and they were nice and snug I just outgrew them I also didn't like the looks of them but they fit so nice I couldn't pass them up.

I reviewed the Vector 10.0/Pros a while ago (the 06 version). You can find these on Hockey Monkey for cheap, and they are beautiful gloves if you want something a little tighter, but not the form-fitting compression of a One90. The palms are digital and will wear fast, but HM has pro-stock versions with pro nash palms and plastic inserts everywhere. My original synthetic leather gloves wore really well, but my nylon pro-stocks haven't held up as well. If you're going to buy pro stock, but the synthetic leather.

I agree. I strongly dislike the new one95 glove but I have the one90's and I really like them.

That's too bad to hear b/c from a strictly looks standpoint it's one of the nicest non-traditional styled gloves I've seen.

I agree. I strongly dislike the new one95 glove but I have the one90's and I really like them.

Same here, the One90's looked a little, robot like, but the 95's look like awful lax gloves.

Hmm, always loved the look of the One90's. I went with One70's because I wasn't a fan of the stretch palm or floating fingers. Great glove IMO.

The one90's are remotely comfy, they flex nice out of the box but they look terrible and there tight as hell, $90 is a good deal for fusions which are the second best gloves Ive ever worn in my life, second only to my custom warriors. Cant go wrong with the fusions, i find the non traditional gloves look bad in my opinion, except for the vector 10's maybe? I didnt really mind them, the xxxx's are a lot nicer then the one90's.

IMO the tightness onf the one90's is why I love thembut I can easily see how you could dislike it. How do these fusions feel because i tore a hole in the palm of my 4 rolls and I am looking for some new gloves.

thanks for the info guys. now i'm even more not sure..lol. i just saw the bauer xxxx gloves, going to check my LHS and try them on. not sure if i can deal with the funky look of the one90's. heh..astheics, ya know :P

The protection (getting slashed, hit by pucks, etc) on the One90 glove isn't very good.

Eagle's are a way better glove than any bauer junk. The only glove compairable to eagle is warrior and thats only because they bought Mia. You wont see pro's wearing those goofy looking robot gloves with that silly palm. Although the vapor xxx was nice the only bauer thats worth a look is 4-roll. $99.00. Unless your 12. Alot of people get sucked into the Bauer market because of the name. Although Bauer does make some nice things you cant compare there gloves to eagle's or Warrior/Mia.

Yeah but most bauer retail stuff is heavily watered down from what the pros wear, not to mention 99.9% of the nhl gloves are far from the stuff you find on shelves.
