CCM Skate Warranty

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I have CCM vector 08's for about 6 months and im really dissapointed with the way they've held up. I play about once or twice a week only...im an average player...

problem is, the liner inside of my skates is ripping, the felt on my tongue is slowly disappearing, my tongue has a huge slit in the middle, and biggest problem of them all, there is a huge dent on the side of my skate that makes it quite uncomfortable on my foot...

here are some

Do you guys think that this would be covered under Reebok/CCM's warranty?

Those skates are practically useless now. I just sent my one95s back to Bauer because I got a puckmark on the boot.

i have no idea how these warranties work, but i dished out $350 for those skates and i really feel they shouldn't be as damaged as they are...

so you guys think CCM will/should send me a new pair??

a puckmark, meaning a dent, like mine?

hmm i wasnt being sarcastic these skate's are in bad shape just look at the tendon guard and if he punches the dent the only thing it will do is weaken the boot at that place so its not an option.

as for the liner that's normal wear.

Theres a guy who myself and a couple of others on here play with who got his U+'s returned when they were in a similar condition to this. Think it was the shop rather than CCM who accepted the return.

I've returned about 2-3 pairs of Vector 08's this year for customers because of the crease in the side of the boot. Seems to be a common problem with this boot as it usually creased at the flex point of the boot and causes the crease to push against the foot. CCM/Rbk replaced the skates, no questions asked. I guess it will be up to your LHS or where ever you purchased them to determine if they will help you with the problem or not!

I remember that there used to be only two major players in the skate market, bauer and ccm, now there's only one and it's not ccm. My 2 cents, those skates look like crap and should be covered by the warranty, that's not normal wear and tear, especially not from only 6 months.

I've got a player who comes into my place to get his done every week, but 2 month after getting the skates, the outer skin started to 'ripple' and come away from the main structure of the boot after he had skated on them, once they were aired off (naturally and not beside heat) they used to go back to normal, end of the seaon now, and they are bubbled like hell.

Next time they come in ill take some pics!

I've had my v08's for roughly 6 months. I have loved them, but am now in need of new skates. I guess i blocked a shot with these (dont remember feeling one that could do this much damage but oh well). It is cracked completely through, shattered i guess would be a more accurate word, and lost all stiffness in that area as some pieces have cracked completely free of the boot. But i still am very much considering getting another pair of v08's.

here is the crack(s)

these are my skates, they have gotten a little worse. Its started to spread more. ccm only warranties skates (boots) for 90 days (from what i remember, could be wrong) and just figured mine arent covered anymore. I still like the v08's, but am thinking in the next few months i will be moving onto some new flexlites or 9k's.

thought i would update you guys...

I dropped off my skates at CCM on April 21, today i received a package through puralotor with brand new CCM U+ Pro skates, They took 3 days.

this is the best customer service i have EVER received. This is the reason i will only buy CCM or RBK skates in the future. They have just got a new lifetime customer.

As luck would have it, after posting this:

I have CCM U+10s and after 4 months have not had any issues with them. I did not notice anything that you noticed, save for the glue.

I hope that you get as much comfort and performance out of them as I have.

I started to get a severe crease in the right skate of my U+10s that starts right at the outside eyelet in the middle (one under where the RBK lock thingy would be) and the boot is starting to show cosmetic(and possibly structural)damage such as cracking. I am wondering if this affects the integrity of the boot, eyelets and whether or not CCM will do anything about the warranty. Thank you for any suggestions, experiences or advice. Want to get a few insights before I call CCM. Five months in on the U+10s and a bad crease like that and tearing by the stitching of the very bottom eyelets and toe cap area.

Sounds like the crease is caused by improper fitting boot. This happens a lot to those who don't have the foot volume to fill the boot.
