Any ONE75 skate users? Feedback?!?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I NEED to upgrade my skates to something that works for me. I originally bought RBK 7k's (pump) and they just NEVER broke in (2 bakes) and fit my feet the way I hoped they would.

It's a long story of love and hate.

Anyhow, I went to the store and tried on pretty much everything.

I loved the Graf G70's, but I have a WIDE foot and the toe cap even on the wide's was squishing my toes.

Tried on the Vapour X60's, and they just didnt work off the bat (i know a baking would help)

I tried on the One95's. They felt great, perfect for my wide foot. The price tag though...... I cant justify 700$, for I just play rec and Adult Safe......

Tried the One75's. Felt pretty good, not as nice as the one95's, but they are the closest thing.

How are these skates holding up. I spent a lot on my RBK's, so I want to ensure that these new skates will hold up.

Or do you guys who bought the One75's wish you would have splurged on the One95's. Thats my big concern. Will there be a HUGE difference between the two. If I really had to, I could skip food for a month :D

I owned One75's (18 months 3x week) and recently went to One95's............One75 is a nice skate all around, cosmetically they dont hold up well (I personally dont care) main thing to watch out for is the tendon guard. I took extreme care and mine still cracked on the edge. Other than that great skate especially if you pickup cheap.....

Last thing if you do ever decide to go to One95, you wont be able to use One75's again, they will feel like mushy boots that are not laced up......I figured I could alternate between both, not a chance....the stiffness/feel is day/night

i had my ONE75 about 1 month now, and im happy with it. about one75, i love its heel lock( im not recommend it for a wide heel person, but i think just bake em), n its wide. toe cap, pretty good. the main thing u might want to pay attention, is the stiffness i think. vapor line had a better stiffness than my one75. i hv mine bukled so easily on arch area. n that wasnt good. so right now im using a gel inside. but overall one75 is a good skate.

why dont u buy another pair of rbk? if it can hold yours so well, i think it would be better to hv the same. btw, feel free to ask more about one75 ^^

I've had the One75's for a few months now and love them. I don't wish I would have splurged on the One95's b/c they're a completely different skate with a different fit and wasn't what I was looking for (too stiff for me). The One75's fit my foot great with their narrow and tight heal, really locked me in there but then was a normal width up front so I'm not cramped at all width wise (my foot has a narrow heel and pretty normal width forefoot). I'd recommend them if they fit your foot. I don't know how the X60's fit but I know the XXXX's were too wide/loose on my ankle/heal, that's the reason I steered clear of them.

I had the RBK pumps to help with a broken leg/ankle recovery, but once I was through that, the RBK was just too wide. So, I went to the one75 about this time last year when they first came out. I have been really happy with them. Good heal lock, comfy, good performance....had to break them in a bit after baking, but a great skate for the $$$. I thought of the one95, but they seemed really stiff and hurt a bit in the ankle when I had them on.

i bought my one75s last summer and i was in the market to actually buy a pair of one90's (on clearance) or basically anything in the 300 dollar range that fit my feet. I didn't try on the one95s or the vapor xxxx's and the reasons were cost and fit (the xxxx's are supposedly wider in the heel).

Currently I'm pretty happy with them. They fit my feet pretty well right out of the box (D-width) but after wearing them for awhile I still have hotspots on the outer edges of my feet. I did some punching already but I think a rebake might help more. Other than the minor qualms in fit, the skate feels wonderful on ice and provides excellent support and range of motion. I definitely did not feel like i was skating in casts like I was in my synergy 800c's or skating in a wet noodle like the graf ultra g5's. I still kind of wonder what it would be like in one95's but I think my choice in one75's has been the right one because of cost and practicality (i'm not a pro-level skater nor a heavyweight so I don't need that much support).

Hope that helps!

I don't own the One 75 but have heard a lot of my fellow hockey players that have them, say, that the fit is quite good. A lot of them raved about the narrow heel and great heel lock it provided. They love the way the skate contours the foot and none of them have complained about hot spots or blistering. So far most of them seem very satisfied with the ankle support and the performance of the skate. The only concern is the tendon guard is either torn of beginning to show a tear in a few of the guys skates after about seven to nine months of continual use. Otherwise most of them seem very satisfied with the skate.

They are a solid skate no major complaints other then the puck marks all over them. I skate 2-3 times a week and have been using them for about 10 months thye haven't gotten remotely soft and they provide great support. Not a big fan of the interior though.....

For the OP - have you tried a pair of the new Flexlites? Sounds like you'd meet the fit criteria...

I've had my ONE75's for a few months and I think they are amazing skates. I hadn't upgraded skates in many years, coming from old school Bauer 4000's and was pleasantly surprised with the overall fit and feel of the ONE75. They are way lighter than my 4000's and didn't take too long to break in. I did have to bake them once as the width was a touch snug but everything's fine now. My only recommendation for you if you do go with the ONE75 is to invest in a pair of Superfeet insoles. I was having slight pain on the outside of my left foot and Superfeet Yellow took care of that. Good luck!

+1 on that...if vapors and supreme don't fit too well flexlites prolly do the trick

I 100% concur

The One75's fit my foot great with their narrow and tight heal, really locked me in there but then was a normal width up front so I'm not cramped at all width wise (my foot has a narrow heel and pretty normal width forefoot). I'd recommend them if they fit your foot. I had the XXV and my foot was all over the place in them really irritating my hagemans

One more thing to add the stiffness of the One75 has tightened up my skating just a bit more.
