alexhockey83714 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 Can anyone help? I really like the feel of these skates but I hate that they just come in just white in the states. The black version is only available in Europe. Anyone know a online European dealer that might sell them in black?

phunky_monkey 6 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 ^^^ I think they may be the '08's, hence the price difference.

JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 09 has the Vibram toecap and like I said, Europe only. Apparently though your LHS can special order the black but it's not available for booking/stock.

cptjeff 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Maybe the EU hockeymonkey will ship to USA?http://www.hockeymonkey.eu/default.aspx?ma...-876-c-225.aspxHuh. I guess I was wrong about it being tellaxium. That's really weird, I would expect the composite boot to the the same on both.
the_sock 1 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Just had a session with the Easton product equipment manager and he showed a video of the S19 stick (which looked and seemed like a mix between the S17 and the SE16 technology) and the all black SE16, which is slated for a release close to the Christmas season. Funny side note, it was Heatley who was in the video.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Considering Heatly is in the first photo that we saw of the S19, I really don't find it funny at all.

eric42434224 1 Report post Posted July 20, 2009 Wow. An all black Easton s17 skate. Even the runners. As I have black laces and black holders on my s15's, and the Eastons are the only skate that fits me, I may have just found my next skate (that is if my s15's will ever die.....1 yr old and still in amazing shape)
adam14 182 Report post Posted July 20, 2009 I just bought S17's aswell, and tempted to fit on tuuks. These fit so much better than my 9k's did.

Eastons seem to fit me fine, just need a set of tuuks.Which Tuuks are you talking about because I made the switch from a pair of skates with Custom + to '08 SE16's with the Easton blades and found them to feel quite similar under my feet. I have the parabolic steel so the one adjustment I made was taking my usual 9 foot radius down to an 8 foot.
eric42434224 1 Report post Posted July 20, 2009 I went from tuuks to the Razorbladez 11 when I went to Easton skates. I just put the solid steel in them and found the RBII runners to be perfectly fine. I just dont see why people hate the RBII so much. Maybe Im missing something. JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted July 20, 2009 The holder's white.Too much flex and poor hardware as well as the steel is the downfall of the RBII. Switching to their standard runner does improve things a bit.
