from what I've heard Kimbo has to win the upcoming show to get a chance, otherwise he won't be in the UFC

Id really like to see Dana go out and get Fedor now and have everyones wet dream of a matchup. Lesnar can be good if he didnt win by smother pretty much every damn fight. If he could learn some submission and defences then hed be a hard guy to beat.. much rather have seen Mir win.

Fedor really has no reason to come to the UFC. His demands will be the same as they were after the PRIDE buy out.

He'll want the UFC to co-promote M1 stuff, sign Red Devil guys(not just Mousasi, who deserves it) and the kicker will be that he's still going to want to do Sambo tournaments.

And, sdcopp, unless Kimbo gets knocked out in five seconds on TUF, he's getting at least 2-3 UFC fights.

Sounds like he has to win it from Dana White's comments. Granted he could really show some dedication to the sport and being more than a backyard brawler while trying to grow and earn some undercard spots if he doesn't win (this is Dana White afterall, anything could happen).

As for Fedor, the UFC may concede to some of his terms. Who is there in the heavyweights right now that could give Lesnar a run for his money? What bigger payday could Zuffa have than getting Fedor and Brock in the cage together right now? For the hardcore fans there are maybe a dozen fights we could hope for that would be equally as entertaining, but for the more massive audience there's nothing they would want to see more.

I'm looking forward to Penn vs Florian, but it really doesn't have the same kind of appeal as a heavyweight mega-bout to most fans.

Sorry if this is old news but it just got around too me and it hasn't been mentioned yet in the thread.

Somebody told me that Shaq, NBA Shaq, has had MMA training in his schedule for the last 10 years and he is looking for a shot too fight Brock Lesnar.

Granted I think Shaq would be dumb for attempting this, just what I heard on the streets.

Shaq was also on WWE the other night. I saw a clip of it on Sportsnet. He'll do anything to get a laugh.

Also, Affliction has shutdown their upcoming events, and has re-joined UFC as a sponsor. Looks like Fedor may be coming soon.

Personally, i'm more a fan of the wealterweights and light heavy's. The heavyweight fights, I find are almost boring to watch. I prefer watching the fighters wrestle and get a TKO or a submission than watching a 280 lb man sit on the other fighter until he gets the TKO (Frank Mir/Lesner - Wasn't that entertaining of a fight to me). Sure I love to watch two 250lb + guys have a slugfest, but I'm saying I would rather watch two natural athletes have a technical fight.

Lesnar is a natural athlete..He was a national champion HWT at Minnesota and has excelled at WWE and now WWF. He's probably more of a natural athlete than most MMA fighters who are lighter than him. Randy Couture was an excellent wrestler in college as well..A lot of the others are not quite as heralded.
