RBK 9K pumps or Bauer X-60s?

Recommended Posts

Needs some help here peeps, had G-70s. They broke now have the options narrowed down to these 2 skates. The Bauers are going to run me an extra $200 if I choose them. Some thoughts and advice please.

best advice: try some on, it's all good prefering a model based on looks, but if it doesn't fit right, what's the point?

i understand your question because you are obviously thinking about budget...

My advice to you is go with what fits, i went the cheapo route for years and as a result, my feet and back are messed up to the point i can barely play...

Hockey is an expensive sport, go with what fits...

If the fit is the same as the previous Vapors, the X60's are going to be slightly narrow, and the 9k's are going to be super wide. Go from there.

They are not the same as the previous Vapors.

My name isn't peeps, but my advice is go with the skates that fit you the best . Either skate will give you decent durability so you'll be wearing them for a quite a while and you want to be in the pair that are the most comfortable. Forget the name brand you're not out to impress anyone, you want comfort to be you're number one priority. I know in my case the Reeboks would probably be the best fit for me personally because I've always found for MY feet The Hockey Companies skates have always proven to be the most compatible. You'll need to decide for yourself what is right for your feet.

Thanks everyone, I have a EE width foot and had a pair of 9EE x-60s on already that weren't baked and at first could feel instant discomfort in my instep. after standing for a bit in them it seemed to start to go away. They are bringing each pair and will try them both baked and then choose.

rivets coming up into my foot bed, one of the foot beds as a huge indentation in it, and the back part where the top piece meets the boot is torn already. All of that in under 25 uses.

the sports store is giving me the option of either getting replacements or any other skate in the store plus or minus the price difference. The Graf rep came in and looked at them I guess and said oh ya looks promising for warranty and then took off and never got back to them for a month so I asked what my options were
