Help with Graf saktes.

Recommended Posts

Went from Graf to Bauer (8 years ago) and now considering a switch back to Graf. Issue is I live in south Florida. No LHS has ample inventory or full model line in stock so I have no idea what Graf skate would be the right fit or what size I might need. Currently in a Vapor X:60 8D. Good fit lengthwise however my foot seems a bit wide on top for the X:60 or any Bauer I have had prior to that including the XXXX and XXX (EE was always too wide by the way). Specifically when my foot is in the skate and I look down at it there is a bulge a bit in the middle of the foot....like a rat through a python if you know what I mean.

I do not mind spending some money on shipping to get the right skates and fit. Should I call Graf directly or deal with an online retailer who will not charge me a restocking fee while I find the right skates?

theres a Graf sizing chart somewhere (sorry I'm at work, I'll post it later), I'd use that to determine what model you should be looking at.

Called them. Thanks. No inventory at all and I have now checked in 100 + mile radius. Seems none of the LHS's are caryying them any longer due to their claims of poor service from Graf.

Their claims have been echoed by nearly everyone that has ever had a Graf account. Worst company in the industry to deal with and has been for as long as I can recall.

Maybe because its home of the main offices/factories, but I've never heard complaints about Graf reps from any of the LHS' I visited in Switz.

That bulge has less to do with skate width than skate volume.

Your foot has a volume too high for the X60s - the thickness of your foot right above the arch area.

If the X60 can hold your heel down properly, look for the Graf 705.
