Anyone just see the run he took on Johan Franzen with his back turned towards Kunitz? God this guy is one of the dirtiest hockey players I have ever seen (and I'm from Philly...I've seen a lot). Someone needs to put him in his place.

I wasn't watching the game but he really hasn't done anything dirty since going to Pittsburgh.

He has had half a dozen questionable hits in his time with the Pens

Read the Caps Vs. Pens thread. There's a whole bunch. And yea, the crosscheck to the neck was pretty messed up.

I think I remember that. Well hopefully he gets whats coming to him by a guy like Janssen or in the case of the Caps Brashear

Off the top of my head I can think of three incidents involving him. The cross-check, today's incident, the incident when he was on the Ducks and he jumped Tuomo Ruutu, and the incident last playoff where he hit Kimmo Timonen. regarding Timonen, some say clean, some say dirty, I say unwarranted...

Brashear is a ranger now, I'm sad to say. I loved huggy bear :(

Brash.. who knew he could actually participate in the rush, or actually play some offense? John Tortorella.

As far as Kunitz goes.. as long as there's players like Avery around.. true dirt will go unnoticed.

Definately a few very questionable choices on the ice, but "one of the dirtiest players ever?" Really???

Dirty, yes. Dirtiest ever, not really. Dirtiest current play that never seems to get mentioned as being dirty, possibly.

That I have to agree with.

Candidates for dirtiest ever....

Bobby Clarke

Claude Lemieux

Ulf Samulsson

and I wouldn't leave out Ted Lindsay and Gordie Howe. Hockey icons yes...but these two men produced(poor attempt at Production Line reference) more stitches and dental work for opponents than entire teams.

57 fights in roughly 1000 games isn't very much.. ugh. Considering how he played I think he would take top honors.

It has nothing to do with fighting. Fighting isn't dirty, cheap shots and stick work are the types of things that make a guy dirty.

I know I'm saying that for his careers pims (over 2000) to only have 57 fighting majors and a history of dirty play... i was agreeing with the statement that he didnt back it up.

My bad. Those numbers also don't account for suspensions, I'd love to see those career numbers.
