Mission Titanium OPS

Recommended Posts

I know this thread is about the Mission Titanium retail stick, but the pro stock Titanium is one of the nicest sticks I've ever used - and I've used everything. (not just looked at or took pictures of)

The graphics aren't much, and the finish leaves a little to be desired, but the response and feel of the Titanium pro stock is second to none....and at 99.99 is probably one of the best values going.

How does it shoot and how is the blade holding up?

It shoots like a dream (I am using 85 flex).

But trying to stay away from cliche-speak, it's the nicest shooting stick in my collection, and I have zero reason or motive to be untrue about it's performance. The blade is outstanding. I have been rotating the Mission with a new TPS R8 Kotalik I just got, but I used the Mission exclusively for about a month of two leagues - which was 4 ice times per week.

To each their own with sticks, and what is important to them when choosing one, and I can only tell you it's responsiveness and feel (two qualities important to me) are top notch.

anyone know where I can find lie information on the pro stocks at hockey monkey?

I've been wondering about this and the lengths of the sticks, also.

Thats a good point too, I forgot if they're pro stock sticks they probably are unique to the players specs in length too. Anyone have Hockeymonkey's email? I cant email them because I don't use outlook express.

Good luck having them give you reliable info. But worth a shot. Also starting tomorrow through sunday: coupon code MITECH15 for 15% off mission/itech gear there, including the pro stock's.

here's there email ds... hockey@monkeysports.com

I just emailed them about the sticks and she said there are too many to go through. But I replied asking her specifically about the Grumpy, Bradley, Stoll, and Van Ryn sticks so I will post the specs if I receive them.

EDIT:

Hello, I am interested in buying a pro stock Mission Titanium stick from your site and I was wondering if i can get the lengths and the lies of the right handed 80 and 85 flex sticks. Thanks

HM: We are not able to go thru all Mission PRO stock stick to provide you that information; we have too many.

Understandable. Maybe you can give me information on at least some? The ones I'm most interested in are the Grumpy, Stoll, Van Ryn, and Bradley. If you can help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Thank You

HM: Once again, they are all going to be different lengths have different lies even if they have the same curve and flex.

I guess she doesn't understand and I'm thinking I'm talking to the wrong person. Nonetheless, I will have to take my chance on one of these.

A kid on my team has some grumpy prostocks, they are a sakic curve.

National Sports actually had the Titanium TI for $49.99 a few weeks ago. I assume they would be back to regular price ($149.99) by now.

I sold my 85 Boyes recently, and the guy who bought it from me said that National Sports had none..maybe he menat he couldn't find the 85 flex sticks anywhere.

I like the stick, but I find the blade chips easily...IMO.

I don't recall seeing any 70 flexes. They had 65, 75, 85 and 100 flexes.

Pro stock is whatever flex the player wants...

I emailed HM and they said that the intermediate retail stick is 62" and the junior retail is 58". That sound about right?

I'm starting to think they measured a senior and intermediate stick. Doesn't make sense that a junior would be a 58", that sounds more like an intermediate.

are those measurements to the heel or to the toe?

Is there a difference between the Fuel TI and the Titanium?

After a couple of years of searching for an OPS with a wood-like puck feel, I have settled on the Fuel TI. I would like to pick up a couple of Titanium sticks since they are quite a bit cheaper than the Fuel TI, but I'm worried that the feel is different. The descriptions are the same. Maybe the Titanium has updated graphics?

tried the one95 yet? its basically the same blade

No, I haven't. I also really like the boxy shape of the Mission Fuel. Maybe that is the difference with the Titanium?

Also, there isn't an equivalent Rafalski curve in the one95 I don't think. And I'm not paying $200 for the P10.

mmm never tried fuel ti, but the titanium is a bit boxy, similar to the oone95

i think the closest to rafalski is the p88, curve won't be as deep i think, but they keep changing it, its hard to keep up

The Fuel TI is more concave than the one95. I don't know about the Titanium.

I'm hoping they are the same so I can save some cash by ordering a 2 or 3 pack from HM.
