Nike Quest Appollo SHAFT

Recommended Posts

Hello,

well first of all...I would like to know if the Nike quest appollo is tapered??(because i cam to a hockey store and saw the nike...but when i tryed to fit a ''normal'' blade in ...they all looked up too big for the hole of the appollo shaft so i would like to know)

secondly, well I all ready know my blade wich would be a Tapered synthesis si-core inginla ...so what i would like to know is which would be the best shaft??since i all ready have the blade ...my only worry is the kick/release of the shaft(i don't have problem getting used to shaft shape and flex(85 to 100 is good for me)

so my question it only in term of performance, durability is a second issue but i think tapered shaft and blade last more longer...

I thinked about the

1.Nike quest appollo(if it tapered)(heard it have a great kick and a nice look)

2.XN10(heard they had a really good release too..but i don't really like TPS)

3.Vector/Synthesis

4.Vapor XV(if i'm getting beaur,i prefer getting the XX...look better...and i don't heard a lot of thing about these one..)

Thanks! if you have other opinions let me know!!!:D

P.S: I know a lot of people do like INNO..but where i am(montreal) I don't know (in about 10 hockey store i know) that someone have some...

So...what i whant to mean by this...is a don't whant to buy a stick that i never saw/touch or feel!!!!THANKS GUYS!

before you argue with me learn to read, the only sticks you talked about looks with were the xv and apollo, so im obviously refering to those. Of those, id say the xn10 is going to have the most kick. the xn10 series is exponentially better in terms of durability and performance than the original responses/r2s.

For the record, I could make my screen name Cavs019AAAAAAAA if i wanted to.

yea sure...well i'm more into xn10 or the vector/synthesis because i got 4 standard shaft so i would like to try out a tapered version(if the appollo is standard like cav said)

and kovy..you most be a god damn looser league to see people can skate and being AA lollll

I think it would work out better if you put cAAAvs019. :P Then everyone would absolutely have to know you play AAA. They'd be retarded not to figure it out.

Every single person i know of who has used the xn10 OPS or shaft has said it was the best stick they have used. But maybe using a synthesis shaft will work best with your blade. Also, i know you have mentioned you dont like Innos, but the Novius is made double concave at the kickpoint to really add kick. There is also a double sided 1100, which means one end is made for tapered blades, the other for standard. Just my two cents

If such a thing existed, why would you not just buy INNO? Same mfg., different graphics.

There is NO such thing as a Nike Apollo Tapered shaft unless you cut a one piece.

kk well that was my bad...that what i figured out but i whanted to be 100 sure of it...like i said i tryed 4-5 blade(standard) to fit the hole and no one was fitting ..all too big so i was wondering

by the way i do search on the nike site and nothing came by....and on internet i did not find a lot of thing so that why i was asking

by the way i think it pretty baby-fantaisie your bitching about what i play and thing like this !damn i was only asking you guy what the best shaft you have tryed not if you care or not ...or saying my league can't skate and make pass or whatever COME ON!!

espoir is better then bantam aa, and the appolo is standard, i held it the other day. And witht he one piece, isn't it shaped so u can't fit a blade in?

CobrAA, I'm not sure how common the higher end Mission products are in Montreal, but have you considered the L-2 (tapered) shaft w/Hull pattern (it's an Iginla clone), or just the shaft itself?

Good one yglod11.lol

CobrAA the best shaft I've tried is the Commander, if I was you, I do order a Inno 1100 soft grip. And you would be the third(TheJackal, me and you lol) one in Québec to have Inno product.lol :)

yglod11--SURE IT BETTER! no doubt but midget espoir is 15 year old and bantam is 13-14..next year maybe i will be in espoir...that not in my age range

bulletproof_funk--i just think about it today at school when i was borring at the l-2 never think about it...the shaft look cool(red)non-grip(don't like synergy grip) good shaft shape nice flex...but how about the performance do it have a nice kickpoint???(maybe i'm wrong but i'M mostly changing standard shaft to tapered to feel that EXTRA kick that all compagny tell about so i whant a good performing shaft)

and for the blade, the deal 1 shaft 2 blade look quiet good but i would like to see the curve...only curve i found interesting was the gaborik maybe i look bad i will take a look next time i go to my LHS...but i was considering getting a syns sicore...because i tried my friend's sicore and feel in love with the feel of it

Kovy_Ribs_Fedo--Wrong.i had a teammate playing as a backup stick a 1100 OPS...summer hockey league...by the way d the soft grip is like the synergy grip or v120 grip...because i hate them...i prefer the sandpaper grip..XX grip or non grip at all...

The thing is...my mom's friend own a hockey store and he getme around 30-40% off every brand...but since he do not deal with inno i can't get that nice 40% off...But anywayz if i whant a tapered version which are the one that inno make??(1100 and...commander??( i think it standard))

Another note, alot of times this extra kick is 100% psychological. I can rip it just as hard with my ultralite and Rlxn10 than i can with my synth, xn10, or si core. Its not the bow, its the indian, always.
