Easton Helmet Padding issues

Recommended Posts

I have an S9 that is only about 3 months old. The VN padding that makes up the back of the head and top of the head area has come unattached form the shell. What is a good glue to put it back in or should the helmet be tossed? Thanks!

I had the same thing happen, and I am not so sure that it isnt actually supposed to be that way. On my helmet, the way the pads are configured, it kind of keeps the pads generally in place anyway. I havent had to glue mine in at all.

You should be able to re-attach it with some clear silicone from the hardware store, or even a 'shoe goo' sort of product from a walmart/target. They pop out pretty often until you re-stick them.

I wouldn't worry my S9 helmet has the same thing, I think it is supposed to be that way also. The one section is lifting a bit, but it should be fine because it is attached in other key places.

I have an S9 and its not big deal. I had to take out ALL the pads when I put on my visor, I am cursed with fat fingers and I dont see how people can hold those tiny screws while trying to put on a visor.

Liquid nails is what I've used. Just apply some to the padding and helmet shell per the directions and then wear your helmet for a while. Pads will be all set.

Just be sure no glue leaks to wear your head is- I had to cut a Bauer 5000 off of a kids head after Daddy tried to Gorrilla glue the pads backi n before game time.
