this has nothing to do with the OP, but it is about the gloves....

ive recently began shopping for xxxx pro gloves as i love them now. been wanting to gather diff. NHL team colors of the glove. But with the new X:60 glove out, should i start going for the x60's or do you think the xxxx's are still heavily favored?

I don't own 60s, but I've put them on and whatnot. I prefer the 40s hands down.

Although, as with pretty much everything in this game, it's up to you.

About ten PMs later... Why don't you guys just ask in or link me to the thread? I don't need 10 people asking me the same question via PM when you have the ability to post on a hockey equipment forum.

I prefer the X:60s because of the wider cuff opening. The X:60 is a mix between the XXX and XXXX gloves, the cuff is wider than the XXXX but tighter than the XXX. I prefer the palm on my XXXXs over the digital on the X:60s(because it's the thickest digital palm I've ever seen, by far). I would rather have a lock thumb but I'd take the thumb on the XXXXs compared to the X:60s.

So i bought a pair of pro stock xxxx's from TSR. However, I was not made aware there was no back-padding in the inner of the glove. I know some pro's can do without them, but i can't lol. Is there any place I can find the exact padding used on these gloves, or something similar?

I think the Thrashers ones are pretty cool. Navy blue with the gold lettering and the light blue stripes.

The Bruins Winter Classic brown ones were cool. Been looking for a pair since the game. lol

I've got to say Canucks and Wings ones are great.

I prefer some of the newer ones without the stripes a lot more than the ones that do have the stripes.

I don't have a photo of the Bruins gloves. They had a few pairs on NHL Auctions after the game, but I haven't seen any since.

TSR did a run of 4 Rolls in "winter classic brown". I wonder if they could still do XXXXs. Probably not, since the 60s came out.

Canucks have their own blue as far as I know. When I ordered my last pair of Franchises, I told them I wanted to do a Canucks glove. That specific color is not available on the customizer, but it is available if you ask. When I got them, I compared them to my Canucks 40s and it's exactly the same color. I've never had Leafs gloves, so I don't have them to compare to. They look similar in photos, but I've never seen them side by side.

Oh yeah, I like the Tampa 40s. pretty cool and unique.
