here's a pretty good shot of barrett jackman with skate guards on.

they look similar to what they showed kronwall in on tv when they did a little pregame feature about them on fox sports detroit.

There are at least 5 Habs wearing various foot guards this year...but I was surprised yesterday to see 10 (or more) Bulldogs also wearing them. Both Forwards & D.

At quick glance, I couldn't see more then 2, maybe 3 Abbotsford (Calgary) players using them.

Can anyone one else account for a team with high usage of extra foot protection. Seems like a abnormally high number in the Habs org. using them.

Bulldogs equip manager told me the players were told to wear them especially D. Must be a Canadiens' thing.

Brad Stuarts guards look like they're either some sort of perspex or have had the bauer logos painted on them..

The Habs guards are being custom made by C6ARMOR. (www.C6armor.com) Covering lots of skates in the NHL and farm teams. C6 is working on a guard style that will have good protection and be afordable.

they are clear. you can also see the button that was talked about earlier. i like those s9 stuart wears. saw a pair at hockeytown auth today only 225. too bad i don't wear a 9.5-10.5 skates

i was at the caps vs habs game the other night and noticed that 7 or 8 of the habs players are now using the skate guards in clear instead of black and you can only tell that they have them is by the black straps.
