The Datsyuk Rbk retail curve is NOTHING like the "real" Datsyuk curve. Dats' uses a slight mid-curve, neutral face, and a rounded toe. His blade is also longer than the average retail blade. Probably about 14'' or so.

No stick shall exceed sixty-three inches (63") in length from the heel to the end of the shaft nor more than twelve and one-half inches (121/2") from the heel to the end of the blade.

So Datsyuk uses an illegal blade. I wonder how many players use illegal shafts/blades/curves.

I'd assume a LOT.

I wonder if they take a little liberty as far as where they define the heel ends and the blade begins.

Datsuyk= high lied smooth mid curve, not very open. Kinda like a deeper heatley with high lie

this is right off the top of my head so dont kill me if i spelled names wrong

ummm to me you've described the slight difference, round toe and long blade ~shrug~ anyways back on subject

Huh? The retail blade is nothing like his Rbk 10K curve. The retail is a hook in comparison.

Anyways, I measured the blade length on his 10K and I was wrong. It is ~12 inches long and ~3 inches high. Sorry about the misstatement earlier.

OldnSlow, it is somewhat close to the retail datsuyk curve. Yes, the blade is really long, and if i may say, I think he requests an extremely stiff blade. It has the ztac coating and if anyone wants a pic of it, a kid on my team has it. Datsuyk puts the name 'Pasha' on his sticks.

Tomas Holmstrom uses an almost straight blade. His slot is in the lower right corner of the picture. He's the only one on the team that uses that kind of pattern. Bin 17 is Patrick Eaves and 55 is Kronwall. Neither of their patterns are straight.

This picture looks like it was taken from the season ticket holder locker room tour. The angle of picture must be creating an optical illusion. This is also the room the houses all the skate blades and holders along with some other miscellaneous equipment. But on the tour, you could only just lean in. It was off limits to visitors.

I had one of his S19's and he used to use a Sakic curve but he kinked the toe himself. So on the shelf, they just appear to be a normal Sakic curve. The curve on his RS' are dofferent. I believe he has (or did have) a custom grip end plug as well because the stick I owed was really short.

Eaves has a custom end plug that is around 4 to 5 inches. Almost all of the time either he, or the trainers remove it after he is done with the stick.
