Don't worry so much about getting the puck high as about getting the puck in past their defensemen and away from the goaltender.

Exactly, being able to put it where your guy can get to it is the real trick. Sometimes it's a hard-around, sometimes it's a soft dump into the corner and sometimes you throw it up in the air. Learn how the boards react during warmups, that knowledge is very important.

I've been having a good old time trying to go from a P88 to a P92...I dumped the puck about 50+ feet in the air, cleared the first set of rafters but hit the second. It's funny watching everyone just stop playing and stare at the roof to see if it comes down.

Oh, I just cup the blade over the puck then flick my wrists to open the blade as much as possible while flicking the puck up. It takes a little practice.

A practice technique that will help is stacking cinder blocks or something you can stack. Get an ice pad and launch pucks over the wall towards a target.

use any type of ball and just practice with that. you'd be surprised how much it will help. I used to play catch with my dogs this way with an old stick and a tennis ball off my deck. I would see how much higher and farther i could get the ball then theyd chase and bring back to me B)

Give up on the P14 yet?

Kind of...picked up a XXV on sale for $60 and I'm sick of the new flat Lindros, so the P92 was the only blade with a curve on it I could find.
