krimsanavenger 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Anybody have any experience with Tuuk LS2 or custom+ holders on there Graf G series skates? I am having my pro shop install LS2's on my Ultra g35s, and they said they would not drill and do not recommend drilling the hole under the footbed to access the runners locking bolt on the LS2. They said it might compromise the carbon fiber outsole that the G series boots have. If any of you have had this done, let me know how it worked out for you. Too Old 1 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Drill the hole and don't worry about it. Just make sure to deburr and radius the edges of them.

JR Boucicaut 3810 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 I saw this at my LHS yesterday - they charged the guy $40 for rivets to replace his steel. I said "Want a hole?" He said yes, I reached into my bag, pulled out a 5/8" auger bit, shot between the last two rivets in the heel and bam, a hole.Won't affect anything.
shotty 7 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 i have custom+ on my G5. the tech did mention something about being careful with the carbon outsole, but he confidently made the switch. he decided not to drill the access holes for the steel because "by the time you need new steel, it'll be time to replace your rivets". krimsanavenger 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Where is this shop located? I had my LSP2s installed w/o a problemBuffalo, NY. Getting the LSP2's installed isn't the problem, getting the hole drilled to access the steels locking bolt is. The guy who runs the shop seems to think drilling the hole could damage the carbon fiber outsole. I'm wondering if there is any truth in that.I saw this at my LHS yesterday - they charged the guy $40 for rivets to replace his steel. I said "Want a hole?" Since I rotate between multiple steel, having the hole is a must. Thanks for the reply and reassurance.
