NHL's worst Jersey

Recommended Posts

currently vancouver (all of them) has the worst i think. and as mentioned, the 3rds for tampa and ottawa.

as a st. louisan, i love our 3rd jersey but dont care for our regulars. i also kind of like minnesota's 3rd jersey.

my favorites have always been detroit, toronto, and montreal. very classic

My favourite for some reason, is the Flyers orange jersey with the white name plate, I just think it looks so classy.

all of the original 6 jerseys have always been nice.

All of the newest teams in the league have had some very ugly jerseys.

St louis third jersey is one of the nicest ones in the league IMO, along with the oilers vintage.

Its funny to see teams go back to the vintage looking jerseys, because they were the nicest ones the teams ever owned.

see: Calgary, Edmonton, the islanders, philly etc.

agree with you on all points except the first. i don't care for the white name plate. to each their own though. I also love that teams have gone back to their vintage jerseys as 3rd jerseys. you mention calgary, edmonton, etc...i freakin love Buffalo's. this should be their primary jersey.

Anaheim has bad some brutal jerseys since their inception

The one thing I loved on those Isles fish stick jersey, was their their shoulder patch.

The lighthouse

now with their lighthouse project, they should consider putting it on their regular jerseys, but leave the throwbacks.

Worst jerseys - Those Atlanta third jerseys are the worst thing in the NHL and the Colorado thirds are pretty bad too. The original third, from years back that this one is based on is a lot nicer.

Firstly, the throwbacks will be their regular jerseys next year. Also, as nice of a logo the lighthouse may be the four dashes they have on the one shoulder now represents the four cups they have won, which I think is more important to the organization than the said project seeing as they also modified the teams main logo to incorporate the four dashes. I could be wrong though as I am not familiar with the lighthouse project you mentioned.

I really like the dashes, it's what a shoulder logo should be: simple, clean, and easily visible with the little room that is available (i.e. not an intricately detailed image)

WOW, where did you find that gem? Looks like St. Louis has come a long way in 3rd jersey design concepts.

The one thing good Mike Keenan ever did was to veto those.

I'm surprised you haven't seen those before. They're a pretty famous "what could have been".

I had a chance to speak with Mike Keenan back in the day and he said those were hanging up in the dressing room for a big national TV game and he said "there is no way I'm allowing Wayne Gretzky to be seen in that"

worst jersey ever by a mile

fortunately our current 3rd are awesome and as soon as David signs his extension I'll be getting a #57

the "sens" jersey is one of my more favorite ones. The Nashville mustard one is by farrrrr the ugliest. Followed by the wild's jerseys.

The sharks 3rd(black) is my favorite of all right now.

As far as NHL '95- That Vancouver team wouold annihilate: not only lumme, but bure, ronning, linden, courtnall, kirk McClean etc! Possibly the best era of my life and for hockey period!!!

'94 was a crossbar away from going to the proper winners...

With those jerseys the Canucks were wearing at the time, they didn't deserve it. Could you just imagine rewarding a team with such ugly jerseys. Mike Keenan was just saving the Cup and the NHL from embarrassment.
