Where to buy replacement palms?

Recommended Posts

Where could I order a pair of replacement palms in msh2, goatskin, or mustang material ?

I know about nash sports and fixitbymail.

They aren't recommended by many.

try peaches

http://www.peachesprorepair.com/

I hear great things about his work

just got my XXXs back from them with the MSH palm. It's my first repalming and I'm pretty happy. The right palm was shortened a bit and the left thumb was a bit tight, but aside from that they feel great. Also, fast and easy to deal with (so I'm told by the guy who sent them in for me)

Are you sending your gloves out, or ordering replacement palms and then putting them in yourself, or by a local guy?

Yeah I'm looking to order replacement palms, and then get a local guy to put them in.

peaches does msh2 for any glove for standard + $10 i think, fixitbymail only does msh2 for eagle gloves but they do mesh gussets unlike peaches if i remember right

MSH2 seems to be the preferred choice here... can someone explain the benefits of this material? i have a pair of 8ks that need new skin.

also, can someone list the popular materials once and for all, along with their advantages/benefits and disadvantages.

is there a place that replaces pearl mustang? That's what i prefer in my glove. I've talked to my warrior rep about maybe getting them repalmed thru them but i doubt that will be able to happen. Any place stock pearl mustangs?

Hmmm, so fixitbymail won't do MSH2 on non-Eagle gloves eh?

I was going to put those on my XXXXs when they wear out.

They put MSH2 on my Mias last winter, no questions asked.

Thanks to whoever posted the link to what type of palm to get, saved me some time trying to find some answers. I have a question though, I tend to burn through my top hand's palm really fast, if I got MSH2 palms, should I get a MSH2 overlay on it or some other type of overlay or would I not need to with MSH2? Someone also mentioned getting mesh gussets, just wondering what's so good about them, I'm assuming they just breathe well? Thanks

Changing the way you tape the end will probably help your palms last longer than any particular material.

Makes sense, but how should I change it?

Well, since we don't know how you tape it, it's hard to say exactly how you should change it.

I highly recommend Peaches as well. He just repalmed a pair of PS Eastons with MSH2 for me with great success. I posted a pick in the Show It Off thread. MSH2 They original Eastons palms were not worn out, just way too thick for me. I also highly recommend MSH2 material. It has excellent feel and durability for such thin material.

I know they're not for everyone but I use TackiMac grips and my top hand stays mint. They are a tad thick and a pain to put on (I don't use the adhesive) but they save palms.

Mark at Peaches is a great guy. It cost me like 10 bucks to send him the gloves and the invoice was $60 sent back with MSH2. He's easy to reach/communicate with, and will actually talk to you like a person not a customer (as in, not always business, he'll chat hockey and gear etc too). He's cool about the payment too, he sent the invoice with the gloves, so he trusts who he's working with which made me a new customer and I suggest anyone send their stuff to him.

JR and MSH has sent him a ton of work, he said he gets like 2 emails about MSH2 palms daily, mostly from us haha. I'll be going to him when the R8's need new palms of course.
