New Steen Curve?

no i would say its closer to a drury with more curve, its awful close to the lecavalier right next to it, kinda like a drury/zetterburg love child

I got it from the ccm free u+ cl promotion. coming from the pm9... I can't stand the new steen, its a huge heel curve with a square toe.

Damn, I was about to get a great deal on a U+ Cl. The old Steen was like a PM9/P88 so I was celebrating but then I looked again and was like...OMFG.

I was confused by this move as well. The new Steens that I saw looked much like a Lidstrom curve to me. I didn't pay too much attention to them though. I was just surprised because I was expecting my curve. Does CCM still have a PM9 clone then?

As much as I like the new CCM/RBK sticks, I hate their curves. They have no real PM9 clone except Datsyuk which is close to 6 lie. The Spezza and Crosby have a weird rocker too. CCM is even worse because now Steen is apparently another Lidstrom clone, leaving me with only the Tavares/Recchi, Thornton and Ovechkin as options. The Ovechkin is a bastard child clone of a Drury and... well something else I can't identify. Bauer wins hands down on curve options.

I can guarantee that an Easton Iginla is not like a PM9 or a P88. The Iginla is a moderate mid curve that is a shorter blade than both the PM9 (moderate mid/heel) and the P88 (deeper mid). The toe is also more squarish.

Ok so it's not THAT different... If only you threw in a PM9 Into the mix.

By the way how'd you get a P88 on something that appears to be a dolomite?

Iginla is a SE6, P88 is a XXXX, Malkin Pro is a Dolomite, and the Thornton is a U+CL

In that case they go from left to right?

Iginla, P88, Malkin Pro, Thornton?

Nope, the problem is everybody only offers one curve in a 5 lie. Fortunately I have some old stock from TPS.

I know, and it SUCKS. I'm tired of us 5-lie people being discriminated against. BTW- is Bauer actually going to give a 5 lie option on the p92 retail or did they have a change of heart?

It's only available on the X60 Stick'um as far as I know. I don't know why they didn't offer it on the non-grip versions, because I most likely would've bought one.

It's just garbage. The only company with a good 5 lie selection, TPS, went out of business and nobody offers a 4.5:(
