Good to see they go out and have some fun. As long as its not excessive and affects their game, why not. I know here in Mtl, Habs guys are out pretty much every weekend when they're in town.

I had a guy last week tell me about working for the Bulldogs and partying with the players. They'd still be up at 6-7am...be on the ice for morning skate at 10a...and have the game of their lives at 7p.

All in a days work...and that was on an AHL salary (in HAMILTON!).

In Theo Fleurys book he talks about him and the boys having a game in LA the following night. So the team had a night to kill, with the game the next day, so Theo and some of the boys go to Las Vegas. After a night of gambling strippers drinks and drugs, they fly back to LA the morning of their game and Theo goes out that night and scores a hatty or something. It's a crazy story.

I think thats the story I cant find my book right now but I think I got the details correct.

I believe you are correct... Theos roommate (who didn't go on the vegas binge) grabbed his stuff from the hotel room or whatever I think. Crazyness. But amazing that someone could do what Theo did night after night and still be a top performer on the ice.

One of my buddies went down to Chicago a couple years ago and met all the Blackhawks, including Fleury. He said he reaked of booze and cigarettes, and that was before the morning skate, haha.

A guy I know is a pilot for an upscale airline and he had some interesting stories to tell about the Blackhawks. Especially the one in which a rather dainty male flight attendant ended up getting stuffed into an overhead bin.
