Depends this years colors or next years?

also a bit of a hijack, but still related to the topic:

what are the trim colors on buffalo vintage away jerseys? sport gold and navy?

I've been a fan of this glove since the MIA day's. I loved the look and the flexibility. My tastes have changed a little. I like a traditional four roll glove, but I now like a more ergonomic fit (tapered fingers and a snugger fit through the palm). I also want a palm that doesn't ball up like the micro nash. In short, I'm now using an Eagle X88. It fits better, has better protection, and the palm will last (note: the x88 has an msh2 overlay, but the new x89 has full msh2 palms). It was also easier on the Wallet.

However, this is just my opinion. The Franchise is still a great glove and I do like the new custom options.

I think the new customizer is a great idea! The only thing that gets me is the extra charge. i mean, its a customizer and its an extra ten bucks for a certain type of custom colour design? you used to be able to just ask for a pinkie stripe for no extra charge. I love all warrior's product and its the only company i trust for sticks and gloves. (i also have all the protective too) and i realize that it is a high quality product, but the extra $10 just does not seem necessary.

When you're already dropping 250 on gloves, an extra 10 dollars to stand out a bit more (and lets be honest, these custom gloves are there to stand out) doesn't seem that bad.

I don't really care that much about the overall cost. I would buy them anyways, but my point was that the extra $$ just seems kind of unnecesarry.

It costs them extra $$ to have somebody stich your name/number on it.

A couple years ago when the glove was the 'MIA mb22', you could get them through their customizer for around $200 and with more palm options.

Bottom line is Warrior is obviously having no problem selling custom franchises in the $300 range. I think it's excessive, but thats me.

I also agree about stitched logo's. It should be an option for that kind of money.

It should absolutely be standard, along with full plastic inserts, a lock thumb and whatever palm type and stitched name you want. I still can't believe that they try to charge extra for very simple features. I don't understand why anybody would pay over $200 for any glove. To each his own I guess. It just seems to me like Eagles are a much better deal if you want something custom.

Well it's a luxury item, like complaining about the price of a Lexus.

I'd love to see a warrior stick customizer, especially with extra flex options (380 flex)!

I didn't really want to get into all the details, but I don't want the impression out there to be that we are gouging our customers.

Embroider cuff is not the standard, but we understand the demand and are working to see if it can be a possiblity. We feel that the weight savings using screen is more beneficial.

Not every pro uses full p.e. insert "pro pack" since they would prefer to keep the glove lightweight. Our TriLam foams protect just as well as with the Plastic.

Not every pro uses a lock thumb and not every consumer likes it either. Our regular thumb protects against hyper extension and offers more range of motion.

There are differences in raw material cost for imported (from Europe) Mustang and Kangaroo. Therefore we have to charge a little more than Nash and MicroNash.

We do offer our Bully and Bonafide gloves as custom gloves if the Franchise is not the right price for you.

^^ Bang on re: plastic protection. With the right lamination of foams, plastic becomes redundant in all but the highest-impact applications. Even there, I bet we'll see goalie gloves without plastic within a couple of years; blockers, specifically Brian's and most of the ones Dave Agatone has designed haven't had any for a while. You don't even gain any stiffness with plastic as compared to, say, HD110 or a relatively dense EPP or EPE.

Seriously, if there are those of you who want to voice concerns over a price, this isn't the way to go about it. Say, "I don't understand why anybody would pay over $200 for a glove," and I'd reply that the problem is your lack of understanding, not the price of the glove. If you compare the current offerings to those of two years ago, before the manufacturer was bought by a parent company with its own parent company, of course things are going to be different. Show me a case where a company was purchased and everything stayed the same. Combine that with rising material costs, a US dollar plummeting on the world markets, and the cost of whatever improvements Warrior brought to MIA, and I'd reckon that's pretty well accounted for.

If on the other hand, you were to say something like, "I think Warrior may price their custom gloves out of competition with Eagle/Vaughn," and back that up with some quoted prices, that's not a bad argument. I might reply, as others have, that luxury items have their own pricing logic; I might also say you're comparing apples to oranges, or that you're missing a lot of what goes on behind the scenes.

Is the pearl mustang palm different than the old yellow "mustang nash" palm that used to be offerred, or is it just a different color basically?

I would like to say that even though I only oiwn one warrior product at this point, I will purchase more! My pair of franchise gloves are awesome! Totally worth the money considering I wear them six days out of the week! Thank you Warrior!

Visit your Warrior dealer and they can put together an order for you. We usually reserve this product for team orders mostly, but we can do sub12pr with an upcharge (pretty fair considering you can customize colors any way you like with logos/embroider from Asia)

Mustang Pearl and Mustang Yellow are the same.

After re-thinking it, and getting more information on the process, I would like to apologize for my criticism of the price. Truth told, the custom Franchises I already have are probably my favorite glove, and I will undoubtedly be putting another pair together soon... Is $300+ a little expensive? Maybe, but this is a major company taking the time to hear my needs and wants, break that down, figure things out, put a plan together, and execute it with little to no stress for me.

As I have said in private conversations, I am willing to pay the extra money as long as I am getting exactly what I want in my glove. If they can do that for me, they are going to get my business. I play college baseball, and I'm extremely picky about my catcher's gear, and I don't wear batting gloves for bat feel. I'm getting to the same point with my hockey equipment where I need the perfect equipment for my needs. If a company is able to meet my needs I'm going to pay that price, within reason.

All that being said, I apologize for criticizing the company's practices before I really knew what was going on. (I was making judgments out of ignorance to the situation.) That being said, rock on Warrior, rock on.

My product philosophy has always been; Listening and adapting is the best policy. Having worked retail for many years at a small dealer, I know the frustrations and always thought to myself, why don't the companies listen to the people who actually buy/sell their product. We(at Warrior) can't get it perfect all the time, but we are certainly trying to make it better.

Thanks for understanding and giving us great feedback.

Depends on the size. 13 and 14 W or N are available in the 2010 Franchise...we are only a couple weeks away for 11 and 12.

Just to be certain, make sure you note on your order that you would like the 2010 if you place your order.
