Hi everyone! i'm about to order a cage from hockeymonkey, for my Itech hc100 helmet.

Which cage do you think, would looks best for this helmet?

You mean the cage with the best visibility? I've had good luck with the Bauer 9500, very thin bars, and I also liked the contrast of the Itech I2 cages.

IMO the Jofa 480 is the best-looking. I use the 9500 and love the visibility.

I just found a new white Jofa cage at my parents house with no chin cup. I'm curious as to why RBK doesn't make the cage in white anymore.

This kind of help becomes essential to me, since I live in Spain and almost everything I order is online, so I can't see the product until it's shipped to me. Finally i bought the CCM FM 480 Chrome cage.

On visibility - I love the 9500. I think it's one of the lightest too.

Jofa 480 Chrom will be the best cage, but I prefer the full shield to a cage, and I use the Itech Concept II DLX. I used to use the 480 Chrome until this year when I first tried the shield, FWIW.

I agree. I had an fm480 chrome as well and switched to an old Itech Concept I from 1996 and its amazing. Sure you get chirped about it, but its actually fun and good to wear!

I find that the 9500 has much better vision than the 480. Both are fairly comfortable. I used the 480 before switching to a visor in juniors. And during the season I broke one of the mounting clips on visor and had to switch to the 9500 mid game. Noticed much better visibility with the 9500 compared to the 480 but I still had a very hard time adjusting. When I play college I will be wearing the full shield. I cant get past the bars for some reason now.

pretty sure the 7500 cage is a rebranded 5500 cage which is what I have. I don't have any problems with the vision. I'm sure some other cages provide better, but I'm fine with the 5500

I've seen people drill 3 holes on the sides of the shield to help these issues.

Nah the 5500 is the newer round style and the 7500 resembles the old more square Itech cages.

the cage will look good only with the appropriate helmet.

In that sense the good old bulb-shaped jofa and the updated version (also sold as rbk 5k i think) look by far the best with their cage that comes along standart with them
