Anyone Have Issues with Bauer X60 T Blade and One95 shaft

Recommended Posts

Website says that the blade is a .520 tapered blade, as is the shaft (one95) but I can't get the damn blade into the shaft. Anyone else experience the same issue?

I guess Pure Hockey sold SMU One95 shafts with a tapered hosel, but the standard retail One95 shaft is a standar taper..

what kind of heat are you using? try heating the glue first to get it soft, then turn the heat onto the shaft so it'll expand a bit. even if the shaft walls are 1mm off (which would be a defect in manufacturing process) the heat should allow some flexibility.

My brother picked up the shaft and blade from Pure Hockey in Braintree. At the end of the one95 shaft it clearly says .520 taper as does the blade. I can't get that sucker in there!

I always use my trusty heat gun, never had any problems before this afternoon.

That's weird it won't go in. I use the same One95 (Pure Hockey) with X-60 blades and had trouble keeping them in there. My blade would end up getting loose after every game or stick time. Ended up having to use tape on the tenon.

I've been using that combo for a couple weeks now, I've had no problems with it coming loose or anything. It also slid right in, didn't even feel like I had to overly heat up the glue.

1mm too thick on either the blade or the shaft and you've got a fit issue. if you're brave, file the inside of the shaft ever so slightly, if you're not into that, send it back.
