CCM Hockeymonkey bag

I'm gonna go with no. Your skates go in the side, jerseys in the front, and everything else in the main compartment which is only 15x16x26. Measure your pants, if they're XL I have a feeling they're probably going to be the only thing you can fit in there unless you stuff all your other gear inside them and wear your shoulder pads to the rink.

Email SMI hockey bags and ask if they have any overruns. I did that a couple years ago and got a great, great bag for $25 or you could email sublitwill. He has a few as well

Have you used a backpack design before?

They are a bit of a pain in the ass. I have one & have to put my equipment in a certain way for everything to fit right. I have two main compartments, skate on each side & a front pocket for misc. crap.

I believe mine is bigger than the one you are looking at with mostly medium equipment. So buyer beware on that bag. Of course you could always buy it then send it back with HM's archaic 20% restocking fee...that's always a pleasure.

I use this bag: http://www.purehockey.com/ecom/product/119...-Carry-Bag.html

it's the perfect size for XL equipment. I start with shoulder pads, gloves, helmet and elbow pads on the bottom. on top of that goes my pants with the shin pads in the pant legs. socks, under garments and jersey go on top of the pants. skate pockets on the front and two end pockets for misc. items. everything fits with room to spare. it's big without being so big that you need a ladder to climb in. :)

I have a easton st10 backpack which measures 17 X 13 X 27 and has separate skate pockets. It fits all my gear which is fairly big. I have to pack it in a very particular way though...

Shoulder pads on bottom, then pants with shins in the legs, elbows in the shins, then the helmet, with a glove inside, and the other glove in the waist area of the pants. I then shove my laundry bag and bag of tape on top of the pants. Its like tetris. All of this just barely fits, it would not work if there were no skate pockets. I dont think the HM bag would fit my gear. (XL pants, L shoulders, l helmet).

I have this bag as well. It's plenty big enough. My only complaint is that it already has a small tear. I only got it back in November. The material isn't as heavy as I'd like. Other than that it's a good bag.

Thx everyone for the replies. I have never used a backpack style hockey bag, only my gigantic Tackla bag. The problem I have with the Tackla is, it's pretty huge. It's borderline Goalie bag.

Maybe I'll get one with wheels.

I've had mine since summer, maybe? mine is actually the Itech version (same bag, different graphics) and it's been awesome. I play 2-3 times a week and it still looks brand new. must be luck of the draw.

This bag is humongous, it fits everything, plus I could have probably carried three sets of shins and two shoulder pads in it. In fact, it ended up being too big, so I got a pro style bag later on. the taller bag with the side to side length being shorter is terrific. Mine is by 360 athletics. Never heard of them but the bag is great, and I got mine at a Summit Sports/Play it again for $40.00
