MacDaddy Replacement?

Recommended Posts

So my neon yellow '08 MacDaddy is starting to bite the bullet. It's an 85flex Draper, and is probably the best stick I've ever owned.

I can't seem to find a stick that matches exactly, so I'm starting to look at the current or slightly older models to get my replacement. Which stick is closest to what I'm looking for? I know some of the Inno's are close, but the fact that they didn't pass Warrior's quality control is a little concerning to me..

Thanks in advance.

Yeah sorry, included everything else except for the fact that I'm a righty..

Thanks for the link, but according to their site, they don't ship to Canada :(

If you're looking to stay in the Warrior stick line, I HIGHLY recommend the 2010 Dolo Spynes. Awesome stick for $180.

How do they compare to the 2009 Dolo Spynes? at 150 I was thinking of getting one...

I really did not like the 2009 Dolo Spynes. Inferior stick compared to the 2010.

What didn't you like about the 2009? What makes the 2010 so much better?

I'm not set on staying in the Warrior line, I just loved everything about that stick, and want to find one as close to it as possible.

I'm thinking that this would be your best bet..

www.hockeymonkey.com

They're selling out all the Mac Daddy's for 99 a piece and sell them in multi packs too. I dunno what curves though. Or if you wanna try to take a step up, they also offer the Dolo Spyne's for 129.

I'll just copy and paste what I PM'ed another member seeing as how he had a similar question.

Warrior seems to have gotten the formula right this year. I've taken some major snap and slap shots, with no damage to the blade, as well as some slashes to the shaft, and no structural damage. If you've got the $$$ to shell out, I'd pick at least one up. I've used Warrior in conjunction with Easton sticks for the past 4 years, and other than the Original Stealth, this stick is the best performing one I've used, personally. Passes are crisp and accurate, shots just fly off the blade, and pucks will die as soon as it hits the blade from receiving a pass.

The 2009 version compared to the 2010 didn't feel as strong, nor perform as well as the 2010 that Warrior has released this time around.

they only have leftys...............and if you read you would see that he shoot right handed. If he wants one he should call a warrior outlet store and see if they will ship to canada. They have a store in Allston MA.

Forgot about the Warrior outlet stores. I'll have to give one a try.

Are there any sticks from other manufacturers that are similar?

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

Thanks man.

How up to date are the outlet stores? Do they just carry newer stuff or older stuff?

I'm looking to get some Smyth curves but nowhere has them anymore. Does anyone know if the the outlet stores do?
