RBK broken bladder

Recommended Posts

or at least something is wrong with my RBK 5k skate bladder on my left skate...wont inflate as of today...for months it was slowly deflating such that i needed to re-inflate it before each shift...but today its just done...will not inflate anymore....are these fixable? dont have the cash to buy new skates, and i LOVE the support they give the back of my foot.

P-shant, just get out of the way from vallaincourt's shots.

On a more serious note, I have the same problem in my 9k's but not as bad as yours. I just pump it up a little more than what I usually do and it lasts me the whole game. Did you overpump your skate?

it wasnt his shot, it was broken before the game even started. i didnt overpump em, i pumped em just enough, and by the end of the shift it would be completely deflated...but now it simply will not inflate...im thinking the pump is no longer connected to the bladder? or possible the bladder is just beyond repair...?

btw, found a simple workaround, i had bought these:

http://www.apihockey.com/apiforskates.html

a long time ago when i first started skating, but realized i didnt need it because it really didnt help whatsoever. been sitting in a corner of my hockey room where i store all my equipment...instead of putting it in the front of the skate, i reversed it and put it in the back of the skate to fill in that gap...voila perfect fit, gap filled...

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I'm having the same problem. I bought 10k's at the end of January, and the left pump is out of air after a few hard strides now. The right skate has no problems at all. Have any of you dealt with Rbk's customer service before? I'm gonna have to wait it out, my men's league season is only half over.

3 month warranty IIRC, if you're planning on a warranty claim might wanna check in on it.

RBK replaced my pair with pump issues that I had for 6 months. No idea on the warranty though. Just brought em back to where I bought em and they took care of it for me.

I hear a lot of Pro's and other players dont even use the pump, never skated reebok's but they say the boot is comfortable without it.

Yes...some stores like thehockeyshop were selling pro versions of the 9K without the pump and traditional ankle support.
