Durable Pants

Recommended Posts

So does anyone know who makes pants with the most durable shell?

I have a pair of Bauer One55s that I got a month or so ago. Used them about 8 times so far and after my game last night, I had two cuts in the outer shell on my left leg. Also only took one use to get a bunch of scuff marks on the outer shell as well. I was pretty weary when I bought these, thought they felt cheap and it turns out the are. So I'm going to try and repair the damn things, but at the same time, I wanna start looking for new ones or just get a shell to go over them. Does anyone know what brand/model is probably the most durable to stand up to regular old hockey abuse? I'd prefer to stick with Bauer, but if the pair is going to last more than 6 games, then I'd be willing to try out some other options...

I never had durability problems in the 2 years I had one 50 pants. My one70's have held up fine over the past year as well.

Maybe look into Tackla's?

I have used a Tackla shell for over 6 weeks now. I have had some minor issues with cotton threads coming out of the advert removable panels (these are the little panels in front and on the side of the shell, that can be removed to put on a velcro ad), but other than that the shell is working perfectly.

6 years beats 6 games my friend...

I just switched into Reebok 7k pants from CCM 852s that had been around for a couple years (decade). Haven't put them through enough play to make a firm statement but the nylon on the pants feels really rugged, well constructed.

Yup. Really long pants IMO, just seem to be tall pants.

Thanks thats actually perfect to hear since I'm heavily considering these pants! I'm in medium Reebok pro stock mhp520's now, coming from large CCM pro stock mhp520's. The CCM's were good in length but way to big around the waist, and my Reeboks are the exact opposite, good around the waist, but a bit on the short side. How do they fit around the waist, true, snug, roomy?
