Is there a diference two Gloves!

Recommended Posts

Hello i'm searching for a full blackedout pro model like 4roll glove.

I saw this two RBK gloves, is there any difference except the logo on the cuff.

First: http://www.playersbench.com/prod.ihtml?pid=5009&vendor=REEB&var1=0&var2=0&var3=0&catid=HOPRGLSS&ss=1

second: http://www.hockeymonkey.com/reebok-hockey-gloves-4-roll-pro-sr.html

I hope somebody will help me.

Thanks

The upper cuffis different.

The playersbench one has nash gussets, and the prolock thumb.

The two gloves have different material used for the inserts (PE vs. HD foam.)

I'd say that the one on playersbench.com is a little nicer glove, but I don't know that it's $55 nicer.

I wouldn't recommend either of those gloves, but if you want to get one of them, get the ones from the monkey. The new rbk pro gloves feel awful.

Really? I really like the team issued gloves by reebok. The 4-roll and 10k. IMO I'd rather have a 4-roll than my 10k but whatevs.

I have had both multiple pairs of Reebok pro stock 4-roll gloves, and the Players Bench team issue (TI) 4-roll. They are the exact same thing. I haven't held a pair of the Reebok 4-roll pro gloves, but from the info gathered it appears the team issue glove is a lot better glove, although much more expensive. The team issue glove is the real deal, same thing they issue out to the NHL, AHL, ECHL, USHL, ect. I'll agree that the team issue glove is overpriced, but I'm happy with my purchase none the less.

I have some rbk pro stocks that are 852's and have tried on the rbk pro stock glove that is based on the pro tack. Neither pair resembles the TI 4 roll at all. The TI has different foams that are ridiculous stiff and feel awful and the liner isn't the felt one that rbk has been using on their pro gloves

I didn't like the PB one at all when I was in there Sat. Incredibly stiff out of the gate. Way too loose for my taste, too, but that's more PP.

JR and I both tried on the HM version of this glove and it is quite possibly CCM/Reebok's best feeling glove in their entire offering. We were both quite surprised.

I felt the same way when I tried them on. They felt really good.

Hmm. I've owned two pairs of the pro stock Rbk 8k graphics 852 4-rolls ("Rbk" and vector logo stitched on cuff with straight 4-rolls), then a pair of pro stock Rbk 9k graphics with the uneven 4-rolls (Rbk on cuff, vector logo on thumb), also a pair of Ryan O'Reilly's Reebok 9k graphics with the unveven 4-rolls again (vector logo on cuff, Reebok on thumb), and finally a pair of the Players Bench Reebok team issue 10k graphics 852 4-rolls (vector logo on cuff, Reebok on thumb). I nearly forgot I had a pair of pro stock CCM 852 4-rolls as well.

After checking my Reebok team issue 4-rolls and my Rbk pro stock 4-rolls (both pictured), I will agree that the internal "flap" pads on the backhand and thumb are a little thicker, and a nicer felt on the pro stock gloves. Aside from this the interior of the glove is identical. As for the team issue 4-rolls being stiff, I would also agree.. at first. After a on ice session or two they break in and are as comfy as any glove I've used before. I can't really say the foam is stiffer from one glove to the other, but you'd think stiffer foam (as long as it still flexes) would be the way to go. The nylon exterior on the team issue 4-roll appears to be more coarser, or more durable or something when compared to the pro stock 4-roll.

I'd like to see/try the Reebok retail 4-roll pro glove. I've read both good and bad reviews about it on here. I would have undoubtedly went with the retail 4-roll pro over the team issue 4-roll purely because of the price factor, if Reebok would offer it in solid black :/ Does the retail 4-roll pro have plastic inserts?

Thats my input for now, attached a picture of what's left of the Reebok/Rbk/CCM 4-rolls I've owned.

The 852's I have are the latest version from rbk. They were left overs from the Olympics. The ti's may look identical, but they don't feel like the new 852's. Not to mention you can get the pro stocks for less money

And where would that be if you don't mind?
