rbk elbow pads

Recommended Posts

check both HG and HM...saw some on their site a day or so ago

HG only has them in large and HM don't have them. Ebay is probably your best bet.

They are not available on HM???

Is this the model you speak of?

Maybe give them a call and check stock availability before ordering. (in case sizes listed haven't been updated on the website)

those are the 8k retail elbow pads, the 8k pro are diff. and are only available to those in the pro. leagues.

they would look like --> http://www.hockeygiant.com/rbk8kpepsr.html

I can get retail rbk elbow pads in a large to work for me even though I'm a medium but man those 8k pros are insane. I tried on a large and it was like I was wearing an XL or bigger. I'd suggest buying a size down which is way easier said than done.

Personally I'd stay away from the Pro elbows. I tried them on at the last tournament I went to and they came up far enough that the right size girth-wise had the elbows running almost up to my wrist. It interfered with my gloves, and I wear 13'' to boot.

I play with RBK 8k pro for my second season now and I just love them. You sure have to adapt to the biggest size but it doesn't reduce my mobility at all. It goes IN my glove (reebok 4-rolls 13in) and I have no probleme decking the puck. What I like the most is that now I have no problem cutting to the net protecting the puck with my entire arm and I feel safe to put my arm right in front of opposite sticks to make my way to the net. You can take any slash on your wrist to mid upper arm... I removed the bottom part of my shoulder pads and the fit is pefect on the top.

I love the 8k. Seems odd b/c I am a skinny guy but for me, it's like wearing a cloud. They sort of fit like they are suspended over my arm but they don't slip... hard to describe. I have PPFis which are not necessarily wide flared cuffs and even though the pad extends into the glove, I don't notice it at all unless I'm consciously thinking about. it.

I wear a 13" glove as well but my gloves have alot room around the cuffs and the elbow sits nicely inside them. I can imagine some people not liking it that way. The 7k/9044 should be a better fit for those people with shorter arms or who wants more mobility than protection. The jofa/rbk pro pads are excellent.

The 9177 (8K) and 9144 (7K) pro stock show up on ebay with frequency. A small I believe is a 3, and that is a size I rarely see.

I didn't know where else to post, but I recently bought my little bro a pair of Jofa 7500 elbows for $15, they seem really well put together and so I assume they're somewhere below top-of-the-line?
