Stick noise question?

I just purchased an 11k shaft and after stickhandling a little in the garage I put a little flex on it to see how it felt. Nothing serious as far as leaning in to it, but as it started to bend I heard a pretty good pop. I am hoping this is just the shaft loosening up a little. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, the shaft with a 2011 dolo blade feel awesome!

It is also possible since Dolo tapered blades are a tad thinner you may need to add a layer of tape around the tenon for a snug fit. I had to do that with some cut OPS conversions using Dolo blades.

Does the 11K shaft have the same grip as the 8K? From the description, it sounds the same. I don't know anyone can use that much grip. I tried the 8K shaft for a couple of games, and my glove was constantly glued to the shaft.

My guess on the noise is that some of the carbon fibers broke. But it could be the glue. I don't remember my 8K making such a noise, and I flexed it a bit at home in a quiet garage.

The 11K shafts aren't nearly as sticky as the 8K's though. I hated, hated the grip on the 8K, but almost bought an 11K.
