sebseb 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Why not buy clear in the first place?????
chhhockeynut14 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 I'm thinking for the future because the non grip apx is a matte finish. I really don't like the matte finish so I was hoping to be able to remove the grip on the grip version so it would feel like the clear version.

Travimo 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Buy the non grip APX, and a can of clear and give it a couple of coats.
th6252 25 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Why not buy clear in the first place?????because some configurations are only available in grip. for instance, i really like the bauer int 75 flex sticks but they're not available in clear, at least not retail. NYK93 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 theoretically couldnt you just buy a can of clear coat and spray over the whole stick, it would make it just like a clear stick, right?
Travimo 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2011 Or just spray the matte one...

chip1441 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 I don't have an APX, but on the TotalOne once there is a hole in the grip, you can slowly peel it off. I got the hole when I went to peel off the tape for my grip. Some of the grip material just stuck to the tape. Now if I wanted, I could slowly peel all of the grip off. Not that I want to... Stewie 721 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 theoretically couldnt you just buy a can of clear coat and spray over the whole stick, it would make it just like a clear stick, right?then your adding weight to the stick, instead of removing, as little as it might be. Chadd 916 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 then your adding weight to the stick, instead of removing, as little as it might be.The amount of weight you're talking about would never be noticed
Stewie 721 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 The amount of weight you're talking about would never be noticed Your right, i guess i think of clearcoat on a more macroscopic scale.
n3gkiwi 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 Try some sandpaper and bit of a water on the very bottom first and see how that goes
Lefty718 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 It's for an SE16-I could easily, spray with a clear coat...Or try the sandpaper and water method. Trying to figure out from people's experiences what works better. Thanks
