Issues with online retailers.

I have had excellent experience with IW..Just recently when I needed to get a pair of hockey pants that no one had due to it being the end of the model year they worked with CCM to get me a pair in my size (XXL)..IW gets all of my business now..and given that myself and my son just started playing and both needed equipment head to toe, that was alot of business the past 2 months!

Im glad IW got ya taken care of, they have some good customer Service.... Unfortunately for the place that "hosed" you I will have to side with them in this case... If you click their ad for their 15% sales it will say use XXXXX code and it only applies to clearance items of this nature... Here is a recent one for example! Just for the record this is not a current deal just an old one I saw..

"This Weekend Only, take an additional 15% Off of Clearance Sticks, Shafts and Replacement Blades! Offer is valid through March 27th, and is available while supplies last. Use the coupon code HKRBSFWBO1211 during checkout to apply your savings! This offer may not be combined with any other offer or coupon and only one coupon can be used per order.""

I do know its frustrating as they have showed poor customer service to me in the past too and I have sent them a ton of business in the past. I think every company will have its brain farts tho...

Pretty much this. They've always said that they are for clearance only, and if you click on the banner, it brings your right to the items it applies to.

Plus, Bimmer, you didn't check the price before you put in your credit card information and pressed send. You have very few people to blame but yourself.

I figured it was kind of like with IW, where they apply their 10% club discount after you submit the order..I was incorrect..

I figured I would throw in that Ice/Inline Warehouse is AWESOME. I can't believe I forgot to mention them in my previous post. They're inventory seems to be accurate, they're shipping charges actually MAKE SENSE, they post video reviews of almost every product on their site, and they ship the same day. Being in San Diego, I usually get my item the next day.

I've never had to return anything but I'm sure it would be. I ordered the new Dolo shaft last Wednesday around 11:30pm and I received it on Friday morning with the standard free shipping.

Also Pure Hockey has a return policy where if you buy a skate, and you don't like it, it doesn't fit etc, you can return it for a full refund, even after skating on it (up to 30 days I believe) I haven't purchased skates from them, but if you're buying online without trying them on, it seems like the way to go.

Edit: "If you are not 100% satisfied with the performance or fit of any used item, return it with a receipt within 30 days for a full refund (this unfortunately does not include sticks or related product)".

It doesn't apply to sticks but they did confirm it's valid on skates

Great experience with IW. Only online retailer I use now. 10% off everything, and if I order by early afternoon, I get the stuff the following morning (San Francisco Bay Area). Never had problem with returning items either.

Same here...Had a problem recently where I purchased a Bauer bag and it did not come with a shoulder strap (like it was supposed to). IW took a strap out of one of the bags in stock and Fed Exed it to me...

Haven't ordered much online (other than ebay) because many of the big guys seem to only want to ship by UPS to Canada if they will ship there at all (don't get me started on UPS brokerage fees); I will pay extra to get shipped by USPS.

Ordered a couple years ago from Perani's over the phone and they shipped a few blank jersey by usps to Canada. Ordered a pair of custom jerseys from acejerseys.com and they were good too. Very recently got some used equipment (pants, helmet, skates) from a small place in Arizona - CJs Used Hockey Gear and they were good; got them to ship by usps and items that arrived were exactly as described/pictured.

Ordered from Total Hockey a week ago online and told them to send my order to my house in Illinois but they sent the first part it to me at college in Wisconsin. Not a big deal as I was able to get it as I am at school till Friday. I called them and told them what happened and to make sure the other part of my order, which is shipping direct from the manufacturer, is going to be sent to my house. They called the manufacturer and verified it is going to be sent to my house for me. Simple mistake that is no big deal and everything worked out fine. Even if I wasn't at college to get the package it would have still made it to me as my school would have sent it to me.

Still will order from Total Hockey as it wasn't really a big deal and they were helpful in making sure the second part of my order will be arriving at the right place.

I've placed about 8 or so orders from TotalHockey, never had a single problem. I usually buy 12-16 rolls of tape at a time from them and they usually throw in a couple rolls free so that's cool, they will continue to get my business.

I've had no issues with online retailers yet.

Just ordered $800 worth of stuff combined from IW/HM. IW's has already shipped..no update from HM yet but they generally take a few days to ship..

Now for the 2 week wait for it to arrive in Australia :D
