XN10

Recommended Posts

I recieved my Leafs Nation Magazine today and inside I saw a photo of Sundin with a XN10 and the logo was different then mine... his said XN10 in big letters along the shaft, where mine now says Response XN10, what was this stick? Was it like a promo stick & TPS changed the design? Cause my XN10 is pro as well and it doesn't look like his stick in this photo. Im wondering if it was an old photo. (yes i know he is using a plus now) but i'm talking like when TPS first gave out xn10s to pros.. thanks for any info

Apparantly there are 4 different graphic schemes on the XN10. I have 3 and each one is different from the other and none are like the picture above.

Like ljack said I have see three versions:

On version with the huge X that is painted.

Another version with the Response name in black and white that is painted.

Yet another version wit the Response name in black and blue that has stickers.

Domi also had one that wasn't painted black on the top and bottom. Looked like a regular response, but with an XN10 logo.

I have a P31R pro stock with graphics like the one Chick posted.

I have a retail Tkatchuk that isn't painted on the bottom and has the response logo with the blue XN10 and black fade behind it. That one also is yellow on the top from the blade about a foot up.

I have another pro stock that is black on the top and bottom but has a different logo. The Response XN10 doesn't have the blue in it and isn't painted black behind the logo.

Out of the ones I've used, the original scheme (the Brown like Lego posted) had the best feel. I have one with the bluish Response/XN10 logo that's painted, but it just feels too smooth.

The best graphics imo, are the ones with response xn10 in black and white. no blue.

I liked those graphics too, I don't see how the blue fits in, but it doesn't look bad IMO. I liked the feel on the Corson Xn10 I had, but it felt significantly heavier than the retail Xn10 I had.

I think with a shaft as light as the XN10 R2 it will be tough to make it a balanced stick. I was thinking about getting such a shaft anytime soon but I wonder what blade is light enough to keep it balanced. Especially considering I'd rather use a woody in it.

The wood R2 blades are very light. I have a Tkachuk that I threw in a Response shaft and it's very light.
