APX Shaft

Anyone tried one yet? I was looking at getting a X:60 Shaft but with the APX being released im wondering if there's any noticeable differences?

Bauer claims they're using a new resin system in the APX, but the kickpoints are the same as the X60, as well as the shaft dimensions. Only other change with the APX is the matte finish, however, I don't think the shaft will have that (I believe the shaft has the clear finish). It remains to be seen if the shaft uses the new resin as well, but my bets are on it simply being a repainted X60 shaft.

I don't have any inside info, but the blade is clearly just an X60 repaint (looks identical, and has the X60 core, not the Apx core), so I think it's a pretty safe bet that the shaft is just an X60 repaint as well. Again, I don't have any inside info confirming that, but it seems likely to me.

All I've seen in the store I work in are grip versions, not matte finishes. We do have some SE shafts that accommodate standard blades but have tapered handles... pretty neat for me to see, I've never came across those before. And no I didn't have the shaft upside down :p

I noticed this too. It uses a tapered blade, but the top is also tapered/rounded. Was the X:60 shaft like this?

Anyone have any say on the flex of the X60/APX compared to the SE16? I have the SE16 in an 85 and really like the amount of flex i get. It is uncut so i believe its actually 80flex? Not sure if I should go with a 77, or 87.

77 because I believe they still play a bit stiffer like the X60s did.

Thanks Scotty, Think im gonna try a 77flex APX, not like the X60 shaft is on super clearance anywhere anyways. Hoping the APX will atleast have the new resin that they keep talking about in the OPS shaft.

Is this confirmed? There is no real difference between the X60 replacement blade and the APX replacement blade?

If there is, I haven't noticed it. Same with the shafts
