LS3 seems to be doing the same thing Step Steel is doing.. is the quality in the LS3 going to match that in the Step Steel?

read on here it was lasting just as long as Step. But IMO they would've used a different name if it was stronger.

No, Step is still a better product.

It's 2x the price of the LS3 and certainly not 2x better. Have you looked through an electron microscope, to state one is better than the other ?

When replacing your steels, some LS3s are a relevant upgrade if you don't mind the extra height.

Step probably holds an edge 2x longer than bauer steel. . . so i'd say it's 2x better.

It is? Step Steel is the same price as LS2. Don't even know where you are getting that from, not to mention LS3 is a pro option only.

Bauer has made LS3 available to retailers now. It is about $10 more then LS2. Step Steel IMO is still better then LS3. Edges hold a really really long time on step. If the extra height didn't throw people off initially so they don't want to give it a try, I'd only stock step.

Thanks for the correction - just looked in the catalogue that I got a couple of wks ago. It is. I didn't see loose steel at BauerWorld LOL

I have been told that LS3 is the same hardness as Step and won't be outsourced. Thanks for the correction.

I must just have horrible luck, because the original LS2.1 steel that came in my One95's lasted almost 2 years before one blade broke, then the Step Steel XL ST Speed replacements I bought lasted 2+ games . I assume they'll replace the broken blade for free.

Just because one person (an unauthorized seller on eBay, no less) is selling it at that price before it is on the market does not mean that is what dealers are going to be selling it for.

A brand new pair of Ls3 has always been around 40USD on ebay.
