L.F.O.D. 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 Does graf have any new glove or protective offerings? I was a huge graf fan when i was in HS back in the early 90's.
cooperalls 4 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 I saw the upcoming Graf protective line. I thought the most impressive pieces were the gloves and elbow pads. I didn't get to see the top-of-the-line glove (G75 I think?) but the mid-level (G45) glove was nice. The backroll breaks and cuff offered a lot of mobility. IIRC, nash palm, gusset-less index and pinky fingers, full nylon construction. The thumblock wasn't very stiff, but perhaps that would be better on the higher tier glove? The mid-level was competitive with other mfg offerings at a similar price. The elbows were traditional fit. Similar to a Jofa 5044 or a Easton Synergy 700. Pretty basic, but comfortable and didn't move around too much.

jsykes 35 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 I agree, the new Graf gloves seem pretty nice and, I think, will compete well with others. The elbows were also nice and I thought the shoulders were nice as well. I was not impressed with the shins or pants. We've started selling the sticks and they've done pretty well. Some good feedback so far.

beerleaguecaptain 1004 Report post Posted September 18, 2012 Just ordered the G45 shoulders. Look like the lowest profile caps on the market outside of the Sher-Woods. I hope they fit they way they look.

Shayzam 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 I have a pair of Graf g700 pants from 3/4 years ago, they've taken one heck of a beat and only have minor damage. At the time I bought them they were and probably still on of the most protective pants around. As far as fit goes however if I was to try them in in a store I'd describe them as loose and sloppy; upon use on the ice however you will notice the somewhat looser areas apply for massive mobility gains ( particularly in the legs). beerleaguecaptain 1004 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 Just got my G45 shoulder pads. Pretty disappointed. For an XL they are really on the small side and the elastic straps are VERY short. Materials pretty poor quality. Ugh.... the search continues....
