Online Source for Jofa Gear?

Recommended Posts

Could anyone be so kind as to direct me to a solid online retailer of Jofa equipment? I understand Rebok seems to be the equivalent but I would like to purchase Jofa shin and shoulder pads if at all possible.

Thanks

Ebay, or track down Doc Brown and his Delorean and travel to 1996. Ther eMay be some European sites with a few items, but Jofa gear is out of producton.

Sorry - this is what I was after - an online European site that still has stock.

Ebay is the easiest way IMO.

I have looked a few times but nothing as of yet. I will definitely keep an eye out though.

Are there any major differences between Rebok's new line and old school Jofa?

some NHL teams have still shit loads of pro stock Jofa gears.. but unless you know someone inside, they hardly sell that stuff.

On ebay US, the price asked for anything jofa branded is ridiculous. In Europe, the prices are much more reasonable but the shipping fees will finish you off.

The last I've seen carrying jofa was TSR, but it was some "unknown" mid-range probably "prostock" jofa shin/elbows sold nearly 100 dollars a pair of shin or elbow.. not worthy at all in my opinion.

On the other hand the quality stuff, like a brand new pair of retail jofa 9040 shin is worth the dols

My Jofa shin pads are on their last legs (no pun intended), and I was wondering the same thing. Can anyone comment on how close the Reeboks compare to the 9040 Jofas???

I am in the same boat - time to replace a few pieces of gear and I would like to get something as close to or better than what I have.

Try local PIAS? or even used sporting goods stores? I've seen quite a few Jofa items at my local PIAS ,though most of them are low-mid end gear, it's still made very well.

Unfortunately I would have to travel to another province to find a PIAS.

Some of the Jofa stuff on ebay is ridiculously expensive. As said, Reebok's protective is based off Jofa's. If you're looking for something else similar to Jofa, JR said the new Bauer Nexus protective is very Jofa esque. It looks promising, i plan on buying the shin guards when they're avabile.

If you look around and are patient you can snag some good deals on Ebay.

I got my Jofa 9144's for $60 brand new. Shipping from Germany to Canada was only $20. Well worth it for the quality of the equipment IMO.

With that said the other huge factor in the price of this stuff is the size you wear. I'm lucky in the fact that I wear a large in Jofa and the demand is extremely low. When you get into the Medium and extremely rare small stuff the price jump is huge.

You'd be better off chasing down some RBK Pro gear. It's the exact same as Jofa, just with the RBK branding. It would be alot easier to find.

Black/orange doesn't mean it's lower end or for referees, that just means it's older. Someone else here will probably know more precisely, but they switched to the white/blue colour scheme probably in the early '00s.

Black/orange to white/blue was just a color change. They made alot of pads in white/orange too. Still top notch stuff..

I understand RBX purchased Jofa - but is the gear "the exact same" or similar? What level of RBKs mirror the 6500, 7500, 9090, etc series?

Exact same. RBK 8K Pro is the Jofa 5090 and the 7K Pro is the 6070. I'm not sure about the retail stuff though.

With the current Jofa mania in full swing I guess its time to list my 20 year old elbows on ebay for $300.....

Never mind that my Warriors are more comfortable, more protective, lighter, and offer more range of motion.
