Need New Pants

Recommended Posts

Looking to pick up a pair of new pants and I was wondering if anyone has any comments on some of the newer models, specifically Bauer TotalONE, Bauer Apx, Warrior Franchise or Easton Stealth? I currently have Warrior Hustlers and CCM pro tacks which I really like, but I was wondering about some of the newer pants.

One must is good tailbone protection!

Any insight would be great, thanks!

supreme one80s are very good i like them alot. great fit mobility light weight very good protection and even better they are a reasonable price. i had the totalone pants too and preffered the one80 over them felt like the total ones were bulkier

Thanks for the info, they look nice also. Have you ever tried the Hustlers by any chance?

The APXs are essentially X:60s with a tweaked canting design, see if you can find them on closeout, in addition to the S19s, which are also a more forward leaning pant. The T1s are a bit more traditional in that the pant doesn't fit as close to the body as say the APX.

If I may suggest another pant, high end Tacklas like the 5500, 5000 and 9000 all have excellent tailbone protection. Doing a search here will yield many threads.

one plus for the x60/apx is they have an adjustable velcro strap for the tailbone piece that lets you adjust how much it kinks inward, ie if you lean over a lot you can pull it real tight and it'll lean in with you, vice versa.

little neat feature, worth considering if you have a lot of forward lean.

What?!?! I have the X60 and never noticed this!

Anyways I have both the Franchise and X60 and the Franchise has better padding for the tailbone. Both are awesome pants though! It depends if you want loose or snug fitting pants. The Franchise has bigger leg opening than the Hustler from what I've read.

I'm running the new RS's and couldn't be happier. They're lightweight and the quick release strap system is really nice. They also keep me extremely cool but stay light as they get wet. I highly recommend.

isn't that in regards to the spinal protection? i think he meant tailbone protection like as in closer to the top of the butt crack.

I've been pleasently surprised with the Reebok 9K pants. Loads of protection especially in the hip and tailbone areas. More of a snug fit though.

I bought new pants specifically because I needed more tailbone protection. Went with the Easton EQ30 pants. Couldn't be happier.

I have hustlers and love them, that's why I was curious about the franchise pants. Also, anyone have tackla air 9000's that they could comment on?
