IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 I have an Under Armour head band similar to that WSI one, works like a charm and fits great under my helmet. I have one with and one without a top other are nice, but the WSI ones are much better priced. Will have to check those out.I think it was actually UA that makes the one my former teammate was wearing. I couldn't find one online though. No matter :)The shin sleeves are nice, I used them to keep my skate tongue from popping outside my referee pants.Everyone I know that uses shin sleeves loves them, so I figured I'd try it. Not sure if I'll be able to use them, since my skates go on before my shinpads. Perhaps once I get some 13" shins and don't have to do that anymore.

Coldclay 53 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 My NoSweat 3-packs arrived yesterday. Looks like a great product, but my concern is that once I put it on my S19, the NoSweat covers the 4 frontal vents completely... The instruction/package specifically said not to cut the NoSweat band, so am I just suppose to leave it covering the vents? I would assume it will heat my head up a bit, but then the nosweat band will counter by absorbing sweat, I guess...I've decided since I have 3 of these, I'd go ahead and try one as is, covering the vents, another I'll cut around the vents and the last one will depend on the results of the first 2 tests... Will report back, but no game til Wednesday...
AngryBrow 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2012 Hello Everyone,I'm in the process of getting my AngryBrow sweatband business started. LoneStar77 25 Report post Posted November 26, 2012 I've got a black & a gray one of the UA Solid Skull Caps, they may leave a slight compression marking on my forehead after a game, but I no longer take a towel to the bench to dry my head off in between periods. I bought one on the recommendation of a teammate & since have picked up another one. They work great for me, but I do have really short hair so that may help too. I had to make my large Bauer 5100 just a touch bigger to accommodate the skull cap or it scrunched the band down on my forehead/ears too far & was uncomfortable. Just my 2 cents... Coldclay 53 Report post Posted November 30, 2012 So I played a game the other day with the NoSweats in my helmet and I must say it worked as advertised. I even cut it to fit inside of helmet so the air vents are not blocked... Work pretty well for me.

Tailboard Jockey 25 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 I wonder why they're so adamant about not cutting them.Because they contain a liquid core, which, if exposed, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at. Ingredients of NoSweats include an unknown glowing substance which fell to earth, presumably from outer space.

TBLfan 25 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 I did this two years ago, it cost me $2 and it still works great. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php?/topic/54123-easton-s19-z-shock-helmet/?p=819956
IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 I was a bit concerned because of how big the no-sweat things are, since I'm wearing a re-akt with the "floating" liner. Turns out to mostly not be an issue. There are a few spots where the no-sweat sticks to the helmet insides, but honestly if there ever came a time when the "floating" liner was needed, I'm sure the no-sweat would unstick easily enough. IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 My WSI order arrived today. Shin sleeves were in the package, but headband (the whole purpose of the order) was not. I've emailed them to ask why.
IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted December 3, 2012 Megafail. I emailed WSI asking why my headband wasnt shipped. They replied saying they no longer stock them, and they gave me a refund.
A2rhino 62 Report post Posted December 9, 2012 I've modified my helmet with the Halo sweatband. Its unique due to haveing a very small strip of rubber that causes the sweat to run to the side of your hed instead of in front while absorbing the rest,http://store.haloheadband.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HP

Have had absolutely zero sweat running down my face. I've played both games with the same no-sweat. I'll probably replace them every 3 games or so.

I think THEY recommend replacing it every game, but I see no real reason to.

scorer75 9 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 Guys, laugh all you want, but I have seen guys do this. It works, it's cheap, actual cost is like 12 cents per game....Simply put one on the inside of your helmet before a game, and besides, think of all the fun you can have in the locker room with these, it's like a conversation piece...http://www.target.com/p/stayfree-maxi-pads-super-no-wings-24-count/-/A-14013691#prodSlot=medium_1_7
IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 ^ Honestly, thats pretty much exactly what nosweat is. Same absorbant materials inside too. Thats why they tell you to not cut them.
